Agree Soumare is a big risk….and I was concerned when he came on as sub as Wednesday but to be fair he played really well.

Soumare is such a weird player to assess.
He’s generally crap most matches…..to be fair think he’s struggling to adapt to the speed and physicality of English football.
When up against good/ physical midfields…..Soumare looks a bit out of his depth as the game often passes him by.

HOWEVER he DOES show odd moments of real quality and you feel there’s a player in there.
I remember he had a great 1st half in a home game recently when he did a good impression of Patrick Viera and looked the best player on the pitch.
However in that game during the 2nd half he did his usual disappearing act and hardly figured.
Makes me wonder whether it’s better to play him as sub later in the game so he’s fresh against a more tired midfield.
He’s talented but inexperienced, especially at this level. If he was coming through our youth ranks people would be raving about him.

Done more for the team than someone like Coulibaly did in this season alone.

If we come out the gate quickly against Cov, our finishing needs to be much better, we squandered so many chances in the early stages against Boro. We could have been home and hose before they got to grips with the game.

Coops, Seriki, Tangs, Bindon, Burrows, Brooks, Peck, Jairo (if fit), Soumare (if not), Hamer, O’Hare, Bamford.

The midfield will be crucial in this game, we’ll need to be on top of our game and use the flanks to counter when Dasilva and Van Ewijk bomb forward, could be a great game.

Hopefully the Coventry lads won't concentrate on kicking Blades players up in the air like the dirty pigs did for the whole game apart from a short spell after they scored.
It should be a fabulous match for the neutral like Boro ,
But again the visitors having the edge in midfield unless Hamer is told to help in there.
Coventry should win but if we play to our max and they don't , it could be our night.
But anything less than our max and Coventry will walk it

Our problem this season has been that we don’t play in the middle. All play comes down the wings as it’s where we’re the strongest.

Fans obsess over our midfield two because if teams decide to play through the middle we need our best two players there because they’re usually outnumbered.

Our plan for Grimes will be to press him and go around Onyeka rather than through him.
Going to be a good battle on the wings then. Mason-Clark on the left Sakamoto on the right. Change Esse for the one who has the most work on about 70 minutes, normally Sakamoto. Maybe van Ewijk will sit back a bit but he does love going forward.

Onyeka is class. He seems to know where his opponents are going before they do, and his skill levels have been good to watch. Looking forward to watching him again.

Did you see his goal against WBA? Got the ball in his own half, ran with it until 25 yards out and hit an unstoppable shot into the top corner with the outside of his boot. Has struggled getting over an injury but lately has been improving.
Yes, I saw it, very good goal but he’s far from consistent. His stats this season are dogshit compared to a player like, say, Callum O’Hare.

It’s a particularly poor league this season. The top 3 are miles off the quality of last season’s top 3, and I expect normal service to be resumed next season with all the promoted clubs coming straight back down. The only team that has really impressed me is Boro, but they are still very much a work in progress.

We helped Boro out by playing Peck and Arblaster in midfield together. They should only play together as part of a 3 with one of the 3 playing just in front of the defence. The problem with doing this is that we sacrifice a lot of attacking intent as it means O’Hare can’t play as an attacking midfielder.

It might be an option we use tomorrow at some point though, if we go ‘toe to toe’ with Coventry in midfield we’ll lose. We need to play like last season’s Wilder team and try to pinch a win by the odd goal.

Would love to see Riedewald back and it negates the need to have 2 young lads getting overrun.

We were hamstrung by so many important absences v Boro. But with a much stronger team tomorrow night, if we attack Coventry in the way we did Ipswich I would be hopeful of a similar outcome.

Riedewald is crucial and was the heart of our upturn in form from the first derby onwards, excellent player.

Assuming we don't go up, I'd still be happy about going into next season with a spine that includes the likes of Cooper, Tanganga, Riedewald, Peck, O'Hare and Bamford.
