I don't think anyone should have to play if they don't want to, and I've not heard one club say they wouldn't support a players decision not to, however the rest of the country is being asked back into far less safe workplaces and don't have power to do anything about it so it doesn't really seem fair to me that footballers wouldn't tentatively get back to work like the rest of us.

I'd love if if everyone that went to Crystal Peaks was tested weekly, practiced good hygiene and social distancing and wore masks, they won't though will they? Us plebs have to rely on luck.

If players choose not to play, I fully understand and support them.

Clubs trying to get the league abandoned when 98% of the players seem to be happy with the protocols put in place and the opportunity to get back to it, get in the sea.

I think it's 2 negative tests over period of a few of days but that's only what I heard in a commentary.

Should be noted that different German states can and have decided to put entire teams in quarantine and some not.

Gladbach had a positive and played without the affected man, but a Bundesliga 2 team got put into a 2 week quarantine by the council.

You have understood it correctly. I'm really not sure at all where Jan Age and Sji are coming from on this. I suspect one of them just doesn't understand and the other one just wants to argue.

You're right about peoples lives being more important. Also a balance has to be struck.
Football is going to have hundreds of young fit blokes tested mega regularly, isolated under medical supervision and self isolated immediately if tested positive.
That isn't happening at Asda, Amazon etc etc.
The risks with playing when they do will be effectively zero. Instances such as Deeney need special individual treatment and his decision should be respected. His case or the other odd ones mean that they should stay away, not the whole leagie remain stopped.

On the face of it, it's a horrible idea. But after testing the waters by watching a few minutes of Bundesliga, I would 100% choose the rumoured crowd noise option on Sky.
