Agree...the other week I watched Liverpool versus Ath Madrid and PSG v Borussia Dortmund.
Everytime I flicked over to the PSG game I struggled to watch it....you could hear the players shouting to each other....the non event of an atmosphere really made the game feel like a non event. It was harder to watch than I thought....and I mainly watched the Liverpool game instead.

Like being at one of our FA cup games.

Struggled with England Croatia recently. Caring about result doesn't make a empty stadium full.

That was the nations league, which as a new competition doesn’t carry much prestige yet. Basically, it’s still a glorified friendly.

Every one of our remaining matches are huge, crowd or no crowd, every Blade watching will be up for getting behind the team from home.

I want football back but back to normal, don't like closed doors at all. Football without fans isn't football.

I saw on the News last night that Arsenal players have already started training!

Anyone know what's happening with our players?

Still a competitive international.

Let's say we lose a few and European qualification is off the cards. Would you really be interested in a few dead rubbers behind closed doors?

As it stands we have no idea if there could even be European football anytime soon.

I lose interest in dead rubbers regardless of if there is a crowd there or not.

UEFA are talking about completing this season's Champion's League and Euorpa League, so I don't see why they wouldn't be played next season. They might be behind closed doors, but I can't see why they wouldn't be played.

You've clearly not been listening to what government are saying. When transmission rates are low will be 14 days isolation for international arrivals...

If Real Madrid enter the UK to play a Champions League match, they aren't going to enter the country and mingle with the general population.

They can be tested before leaving Spain, arrive on a chartered flight and only have contact with those involved with the match. Basically, it will be very low risk and the government will be keen to allow European football to go ahead.

Good article here concerning the potential restart, complete with a wee photo of Fleck's glorious equaliser at Arsenal.

Mentions up to four Premier League clubs could go into administration if postponement carries on past the summer  I sincerely hope we're not on that list. Norwich? Villa?

Arteta should have booked a hotel for his first team squad for a couple of weeks in the middle of last month and invited them all for tea and biscuits. At least they'd get their fixtures sorted then.

Bournemouth could be one, think there was an article on here and they rely on Premiership payments to keep going.

Really? I thought they had big-money backing and that some bloke bankrolled them all the way to the Premier League?

Maybe he's sick of the seaside.

Do you really think we will ever be all crushed together at concerts or sporting events or public transport again? I think we will all need to accept things will never be the same again the risk is too great. All these super stadiums with a few thousand supporters.... I wonder????

I think things will eventually get back to normal once we have a vaccine for Covid 19, and a drug to knock it out.

Yes. Eventually. Not for a while though.

It's going to be very difficult to restart the season. There's talk of 5 subs and other measures to try and protect against injuries. The way we play puts us at a big disadvantage. Getting match fitness without training fully is going to be very hard.

Absolutely yes. Things will slowly get back to normal. Might take some time, but it will return.

This doesn't surprise me in fact I'd understand if the numbers were flipped to only 4 clubs could withstand non payment for any length of time. Like any business where outgoings are almost the same but income has almost hit zero, indeed how many ordinary people could withstand a blow like that.
