I went Yesterday (mon 6th) and the media center looks miles off as LJ said. The steel structure is up but no cladding as yet.
On a side issue I was a bit miffed to find out that your st no longer gets you any discount.
And we also have a lot of previous season ticket holders who missed out due to not renewing in time. We’d also have more tourists coming in for the odd game paying on the day.We currently have a lot of band-wagon jumpers who may easily get bored if we spent 5-10 seasons at mid-table.
Great postWe should be thinking about increasing the capacity at the Lane. The demand to fill it would be there if we were ambitious and things went well for us. Its not over the top for us to be thinking of a 46k capacity stadium for example.
South Stand needs to be done first as this is the hub of the club and the face which all our guests and future potential signings will see. Make it bold and brash and it shows that we have confidence in ourselves as a club.
I get the argument that it make sense to add on to the back of the existing kop, and there are many valid reasons why this makes sense. However in a perfect world it would be demolished, the historic spoil heap removed and proper foundations put in and a fit for purpose 21st century stand built in its place with a slightly steeper rake and higher elevation. This would really bring our stadium into a top quality stadium again. It is my personal preference, but it needs to be last on the list behind the team, the training academy facilities, and the South Stand being improved.
If we get it right on the pitch and off it now, we could really set the club up for many years and our children / grandchildren to enjoy for many years after we have all shuffled off to the Shoreham Street in the sky.
It still looks like it today, just been down for some gearIt looked like that three weeks ago when I was last down there!
Gets you a 1 off 20% discount. Automatically applied online, not sure how it works in the shop

Why not just leave it there for the season after?I think you'll find every thing has to be portable, for in case we have to take it all back down again next season...…...![]()
You have to get a 20% off voucher from the ticket office but it’s a one off - i.e you can only use it onceI went Yesterday (mon 6th) and the media center looks miles off as LJ said. The steel structure is up but no cladding as yet.

Appreciate the effort and some of the drawings look really good. Love the look of the 3 tier with a slight wrap around.
The issue to consider though is that McCabe is a professional property developer.
His team of experts will have spent many weeks considering every single possible option, plan A, B, C, D and plan E with costings and return on investment.
No doubt there will be issues that no one has even thought about.
Liverpool recently expanded their stadium and built behind the current stand, so there was no loss of capacity.
The “no reduction of stadium capacity” were the massive benefits of the current designs regards our Kop and South stand.
The other benefits were bringing in an income 365 days out of year, regardless of relegation.
So the unpopular stuff like office blocks, rental accommodation, catering/ banqueting facilities are a big advantage to a club.... if put in the right places.
So that's where all this money for transfers has come from, explains it allIt still looks like it today, just been down for some gear
Haha, not that sort of gearSo that's where all this money for transfers has come from, explains it all
How do we fund ground expansion?
If we were to increase our capacity by say 6,000 be it on the Kop or South Stand, then I reckon it may bring in extra revenue of 4 million / year max. That supposes we manage to fill these new seats.
How much does it cost to extend the ground to allow such an increase in capacity? 50 million at least to do it on the cheap.
Club saddled with long term debts.
Much rather spend on team building now, consolidate Premier league position and then improve the ground in say 3 years time.
I remember the South stand being built, signing Chris Guthrie and then getting relegated.
Don't let history repeat itself.
Bit of detail in this video. £5 million spent in the ground or possibly even the floodlights alone.
Makes you wonder how Bournemouth have managed it?Wow , 5 media suites. We’re lucky in the sense we have two stands with good facilities capable of fitting in the infrastructure required for the premier league.
Some clubs going up wouldn’t be able to do it because they wouldn’t have any stands capable of fitting them in.
Hillsborough for instance.
It does but I’ve never been there so couldn’t comment.Makes you wonder how Bournemouth have managed it?
Cabins int park would be their solutionIt does but I’ve never been there so couldn’t comment.
I have however done work inside the Swill a few years ago and they have the one ageing stand to work with, they’d be limited by space IMO.

porkakabinsNah! There's plenty of empty seats though. Rip a few of them out, slap a bit of rustoleoum down, rent a few portakabins and stack 'em up.
