Though I do recall the 1987 cover’s David Frain, a fore-runner of O’Hare (?) ; why did we not retain Frain at the time?
He wasnt as good as O'Hare. I remember a Flashing Blade contributor saying that he missed a going to a match because he was laid low with flu and was "feeling as weak as a Frain tackle"

Good goal against Sunderland though.

Back to yesteryear. Sir Bobby Robson visits the Lane.

Any memories?

Cool programme format!

Mills' own goal is coming back to me now.

Blackburn away 1980 as our first ever season in Tier 3 came off the rails.

Don’t think I was actually there.

Any recollections anyone?

Easter Monday game we lost one nil. That was the third of the Easter weekend games that finally put at end to our lingering promotion hopes. We were 4 points off 3rd going into the Good Friday game at struggling Southend with 7 to play.

We lost there 2-1 to a last minute goal, then drew with Wednesday 1-1 on the Saturday before the last over 40,000 crowd at the Lane (Curran getting THAT goal) before the defeat at Ewood.

Curran our most bizarre old boy! Unforgettable for what he did to us. Totally forgettable as to what he did for us!?!
