He did, we didn’t get him from Boreham Wood. He had left them and was playing grass root football for Rising Ballers. There was no transfer and no negotiations with BW. But as they were his last club and would have held his registration we will have had not pay BW a small nominal fee when we registered him as our player.I might be wrong but I think he let his BW contract expire and joined us as a free agent.
It'll be you up against the wall next.
Don't you go pretending you're a real fan with a grumpy dad, just doing gentle tele podcasts and some grumbling with Ben.
We've seen Bentleys, the Buggattis on your drive and Crystal delivered by the lorry load.
Think on!
Nick is the owner operator of SUW. Having formed the channel off his own back, he has kept it going, despite the abuse, (even some from me)
One for YorkBlade
Is the Prince asking too much for the club really? Leeds United now a Championship club are reported to be worth £170m or £400m if they had stayed in the Premier League, the take over there went off fairly smoothly as the 49ers already owned 44% of the shareholding.
Back to little old Sheffield United is the Prince the only significant shareholder of the club and if so why is he looking for a complete sale when someone could possibly be interested in investing in say a 44% stake of the club like the 49ers had at Leeds?
What is wrong with Sheffield United McCabe couldn't find a buyer despite looking for years now the Prince can't find a buyer either all this despite being able to attract 30,000 fans for home games. Clubs a lot less attractive seem to have little difficulty attracting new owners or investors
Sure I'd read they had decided to take the whole shareholdingThe 49r’s have just paid £170m for the remaining 56% of the shares so the value is a bit more than that figure.

Leeds United: 49ers Enterprises agree deal to purchase chairman Andrea Radrizzani's remaining 56 per cent stake
49ers Enterprises already owned 44 per cent of Leeds, but have now agreed a deal to purchase the remaining 56 per cent stake from Andrea Radrizzani; Leeds will play in the Sky Bet Championship in 2023/24 after relegation from the Premier Leaguewww.skysports.com
He was on my row about 10 seats to my left.I'm happy to confirm that Hal was sat in the shite seats close to me at Wembley, about 5 rows from the back, roughly 2 postcodes away from the prawn sandwich section.
Yeah you are right but if they were willing to pay £400m for 56% of Premier league Leeds Unite then the full value has to be just over £700m or so, The Prince is asking nowhere near that price for SUFC what is it around £170-180m yet can't find any takers same as McCabe couldn't, which I find strange. They already owned 44%.
Great Post that! Hal always comes across as a professional, I trust him to ask the real questions we all need answered. Nick great bloke never met him but a true blade who we have to thank for Sheffield united way .As a normal fan, following the Blades from a distance, I enjoy SUW, the Beans and Roy’s bladespod, and Jimmy’s Ramble.
All a bit different, but the thing they all have in common is that they are fellow Blade’s fans, each with there own perspective on our club.
On a point of order, all these lads do it freely and we are lucky they do it. For anyone to suggest that Hal is not a professional, is very poor form. He earns his living as a presenter for BFBS radio. The British Forces Broadcasting Service has been operating as a full service broadcaster since 1943.
The British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS) provides radio and television programmes for His Majesty's Armed Forces, and their dependents worldwide. Editorial control is independent of the Ministry of Defence and the armed forces themselves.[1] It was established by the British War Office (now the Ministry of Defence) in 1943. In 1944, it was managed by Gale Pedrick.[2]
It operates independent of the UK Ministry of Defence in particular, and the armed forces themselves.
I have been indebted to their function and availability, as a veteran with over 22 tears service worldwide.
Hal is a pro. Anyone with doubts is free to listen to BFBS Cyprus, and despite being out for longer than I served, I caught his morning show on said radio show the other day.
He is polite, knowledgeable and erudite. To remove any doubt could anyone imagine making such a successful career with such a hard nosed audience?
Nick is the owner operator of SUW. Having formed the channel off his own back, he has kept it going, despite the abuse, (even some from me) and is constantly trying to improve it. Nick brought on Hal for his professional expertise and presentation skills, and Oli because he shares the workload and presents another different face and opinion of the regular Blades fan.
We should all be grateful for their voluntary efforts in producing a channel with growing reputation and support. I personally think it’s great that they have earned the owners trust, and any minor incidental benefits they mIght come across are well deserved. I also realise there is a danger that some people might utilize their status for PR purposes, and that is just one thing they will be wary of.
A huge Thank you to all presenters who give their own time and effort to enable these brilliant facilities just for fans of the club. It’s a community service we are all duty bound to respect, even if you disagree with them, do it in a kind way. (I include Deadbat and all the others who provide Blades related content).

Oh get back under your bridge weirdo.Anyone comes for me and I'll take my mispronunciations and toilet anecdotes to Hillsborough
Read this whole thread, I know they want questions via twitter but I'd love to know what the EFL did with dozy, was he deemed unfit or not? Does the Prince think he was "getting scammed" to coin a phrase, or was dozy spilling his guiness running for the plane to cuba.
As for those pointing fingers at the podcast, they only have to watch it, and they'll realise that nothing gets said about players till its out in the open and widely being discussed.
Darren Smith, got it wrong about the takeover being 4 weeks after promotion, and also that we'd be out of admin by the end of the first month, so don't invest too much into what he says.. He's very hit and miss, his hits are after the fact normally..
As for freebies, my mate went upstairs with Jim Phipps to the directors box, to get the executive experience when he offered it out to fans, it wasn't all it was cracked up to be, said they looked you up and down and you could tell they (the posh lot) didn't want you anywhere near them, he felt arkward and was happy when it was all over, Phipps took some stick for doing that from certain quarters and your normal match day with your mates is probably a lot more fun than rubbing shoulders with the ceo's and having to mind your Ps & Qs.
I just treat the SUW podcasts and twitter sources as something to interest me and pass my time, the media dep't at the club will officially feed back the facts, once it's happened.. UTB.

No bestie of El Accounto but didn’t he repeat what the Prince said that he hoped a deal would be in place, not done. As for admin, l must’ve missed that. Unless you mean embargo, something rather different.
Don't have twitter and definitely don't agree with anyone having a pop at you.I'll just say this and then I'm going to leave it and ask that you post questions on twitter please.
If having a pop at me helps you to deal with Ndiaye going to France then go for it. I get it. I feel the same way because I'm one of you, I've always been one of you and I understand.
To be fair to the Prince he has also agreed to talk toJimmy on Blades Ramble. Not sure if you've watched it but he offers decent content and lots of fan engagement.Having a go at Hal and Nick for getting info from the owner seems like people shooting the messenger to me. You can say you think they are too close to the club to be impartial and slag off their content but they're getting something no other media outlet is.
I really don't like how a fan channel and a supporter from Spain are the ones breaking this sort of information but that's not their fault. Obviously it's a 2 way street and they get the views and scoops but it seems like it's either SUW interviewing him or nobody.
There is a reason communication at other clubs isn't done this way but I don't think you can blame a fan channel for getting information and interviews from the owner when nobody else gets them. If you want to have a go at anyone then surely it's The Prince for refusing to work with more traditional outlets.
Until recently I had no opinion as such on him but I'm starting to find him embarrassing, especially for a man of his age and background.Grown man and he wants people to beg him to give out information.
What's bizarre about about avoiding people who spin your words in favour of genuine fans with genuine concerns communicating through an alternative media channel?SUW is a fairly gentle, easy way for the owner to communicate but it's a bizarre way for a Premier League club to operate.
That said, the local and regional press has been very poor in covering United and did very little to properly scrutinise the alleged bids for the club so maybe it makes little difference.

I've learned more about our modus operandi in the last few months than any tosh written in a rag.Which is largely but not altogether what happens.
I think it fair to say the mainstream media is driven by money not necessarily truth, which is what our 'You Tubers' seek.
Long live SUW and BladesRamble for initiating better fan/club engagement.
The Star backed McCabe and Wilder. It’s no surprise their coverage is piss poor. Smith is embarrassing and l’ve no doubt SUW will give him a fairly easy ride but to be fair to them he’ll only divulge what he wants to anyway. Let’s just hope they don’t start reminiscing about using their jumpers for goalposts etc.
Oh dear.As they say the truth comes out eventually. The Prince is a fraud and a good con artist
If there's truth behind that then surely you can elaborate? As they say the truth comes out eventually. The Prince is a fraud and a good con artist
I’m not reading through the whole thread but one of my questions to Prince Abdullah, with respect, would be why do you think it’s a good idea to have a social media mouthpiece leaking information that could be undermining PH and his team and potentially derailing deals?
