Prince is taking over

Wit's a good lad. Hundreds of Blades fans would agree. I'm shocked another Blade is having a pop at him (on his keyboard).

I think he should stop posting the cryptic stuff but don't get the need to insult him, ridicule his profession or call him an idiot. He's a well known Blade as many will know. Had tickets for games via him /Tufty in the past through a mutual friend. Never let us down.

Prince Abdullah, “in response to a process commenced by Sheffield United Limited”, a company controlled by fellow co-owner Kevin McCabe and his family, “served a notice exercising an option to purchase the remaining 50 per cent of Blades Leisure” from SUL. This suggests the move was triggered by a clause contained in the original agreement which saw Prince Abdullah pay £1 to acquire his shareholding five years ago. That transaction, which elicited a pledge from the Saudi Arabian to invest an undisclosed sum, also saw McCabe write off debts the club owed him. With discussions between both parties scheduled to continue this week, Prince Abdullah’s bid to become United’s sole owner appears to hinge upon him purchasing Bramall Lane’s freehold and long leasehold interests in the Copthorne Hotel, Enterprise centre, Steelphalt Academy and Junior Development Centre at Crookes.

Looks like it could be lucky guess No2 Sean Thornton. It's Kev making the running, all chips on the table, freehold, academy etc then brings in Chinese buyer for job lot takeover. Makes sense, no wealthy buyer wants to "invest" they want to own and have control.

Only way HRH can take control is if he has backers cause it looks like the concerns about his wealth were well founded. Kev knows what he's doing and was bullish in his answers last Monday Q&A.

And it must be true it's int Stir

Quite a few missed the wording of that statement B56 which I pointed out last week when people were claiming McCabe had been ousted, out manuevered etc. :) . Good trust claiming it though you little monkey.

I bet James's revelation that KMc "wrote off" all the debt will come Asa surprise the the McCabes though. On the ball as usual.

Is that knight in shining armour riding over the hill towards this thread? :)

So according to tweet HRH triggered clause
And according to Stir Club triggered clause.....

How do you chose between two rock solid sources, Twitter or Stir, Stir or Twitter?

Club statement. No one seems to have challenged that. The wording is quite clear.

Maybe he's gerrymandering, CW doing misinformation again (remember 1 permanent and 3 loans?). What surprises me is Wit hadn't been shut down by Wilder after Wilder getting both barrels from McCabe after Wit's first Twitter revelations. Could this suggest CW and Kev collusion?

When did CW get warned by KM over Wit's Twitter?

..except that article contradicts itself.

It states McCabe’s company triggered the clause but that it’s Princey ‘bidding’ to take control of sole ownership.

It is possible that McCabe’s companies had sole control of when they sell ie: the clause. ( why would you put a clause in a contract that effectively means you could be kicked out against your will, not sure McCabe is that dumb)

I suspect Princey requested them to activate the clause and McCabe is playing hardball re: the freehold etc...trying to get some cash/more investment....which was one reason for taking the companies out of the club in the first place.

Of course, McCabe may well be trying to get Princey out...but you’d think that would be quite easy if word got out that McCabe didn’t want to take Princey to take over...don’t you think?

It's quite straightforward.

McCabe started the process and "it’s Princey ‘bidding’ to take control of sole ownership" ie. trying to raise the required funds.

There can be more than one meaning to the word "bidding"

I heard early last month that Kev wanted the Prince out and it's my guess, and it is a guess, that Kev is gambling on the Prince not being able to raise the cash, after all he will know the figures involved, we have no idea.

As regards this - "

Of course, McCabe may well be trying to get Princey out...but you’d think that would be quite easy if word got out that McCabe didn’t want to take Princey to take over...don’t you think?"

It will be far from straight forward if the Prince has a contract guaranteeing him first option, then we revert to situation as above.

I get the impression he’s a Tory lapdog estate agent type thing who is unable to articulate any political views of his own but simply regurgitates right wing Claptrap from random fuckwits.

It’s very likely his only “intelligent” thought is that he and his fellow pseudo-professional leeches should continue to retain a disproportionate share of the national wealth for a negligible contribution to the national effort.

If by ‘Corbynista’ you mean a person who would like to see leader of the opposition democratically elected as Prime Minister and rid us of this chaotic, shambolic, directionless government and one of the worst leaders in history, then I’m your man. Unlike working-class Tory cap-doffers, I refuse to know my place.
Why does it not surprise me that you're a Marxist?

You come across as the type, it can be smelt from a mile off.

The vastly over-inflated ego and sense of his own intelligence, believing that anybody with opposing views simply 'regurgitates claptrap', because of course, they couldn't possibly have the same levels of intelligence as yourself and have come to those opinions on their own could they? And the jibes about 'lapdog estate agents', well, we can't have people being wealthy and successful now can we? That wealth has been built on the backs, and at the expense of the working class hasn't it?

Clearly anyone who doesn't support a man who has stood side to side with terrorist organisations his entire political career, and holds an ideology which destroys all it touches and has inflicted abject misery on nation after nation in the past century, is being brainwashed by the 'right wing media' right?

The Tories are atrocious, but if you truly believe that what this country needs is a good dose of socialism and Marxist ideology, I can only assume you weren't alive last time we had it. I was, and I remember perfectly well the depressing, destructive land of no-hope that this country was under it.

You're a fool. Blinded by ideology.

If only someone else had thought of this ......

How does this get Princey out of the club, is his 50% forfeit if he doesn't meet the terms of the clause and buy the freehold?

I would imagine that the new potential investors will agree a financial settlement with him.

There may even be a clause in the contract to cover this eventuality but either way there would be little benefit to him in sticking around if he can't afford to take up his option.

Of course I could be completely wrong, who knows? Time will tell :)

If you mean me, I’ll happily say the same in person. If you knew me, you wouldn’t begin to question that.

Why on Earth is he committing on boardroom affairs based on confidential information gleaned from his mate the manager? Why does the manager, if he knows, permit it?

Twitter inflates egos that ought to remain modest. Even idiots can pronounce somebody else’s ‘words of wisdom’ and, by Pele, they do.

Typical Tory Claptrap. I’m a democratic socialist. When did we have Marxism? Not in my seven decades, we haven’t. You’re a forelock-tugger, blinded by ignorance.

When was this? I cannot recall it ever being so perhaps it would be better if that had been the case.

After a shit game Wit and Chris are in the hotel having a drink. McCabe comes in. Wit says this is your man for the job, two days later Kev rings Wit bring your mate down we need a chat. All goes well McCabe asks what he wants Chris shows him the offer from Charlton McCabe smirks says I'll match it. The rest is history and Tufty will become the best manager we've had UTB

I don't agree with Wit's narcissistic twitter personality, but that story sounds like it has come straight out of the mouth of said narcissist. It is not even close to being true. Apart from Wit's narcissistic twitter, he is actually a top bloke, and a top Blade

CW bumped into KM at a local cup final game or some charity game (can't remember) at BDTBL, they exchanged pleasantries, Utd job was never mentioned but KM was keen to find out what the future held for CW, it literally lasted a few minutes but it left CW wondering was there actually something in that chat.

CW was then contacted by Charlton, while in talks with them KM called his agent to see if he fancied a chat, CW was going to sign on the dotted line at Charlton 100% till that call, he was in London and put it all on hold. The next day he met United in a hotel room in London and the rest is history. Wit played no part in it whatsoever

That scenario would all depend on whether Princey values 50% of SUFC over 10-20 million quid* and a fuck off tablet. (i'd suggest he values the former as he's supposedly in negotiations to push this through)

It would also hinge entirely on the belief that Princey doesn't have/can't raise the funds to meet the future investment required/freehold transfer...a risky strategy...though of course McCabe may well have set such a high value knowing that Princey would never meet it...an even riskier strategy, especially if Princey is a stubborn bloke.

He's quite an easy person to find at games or via his work if you want to find him and happily call him a "fcuking idiot".
If the manager wasn't happy with his tweets he would tell him to stop.
My brother and I have known him for many years and would vouch for him.
I'm very uneasy about the guy that you would vouch for.

Yep, it's a high stakes game but at the end of it who knows who the winner will be?

I don't, but I think it's fairly clear that the co-owners have different visions of the immediate future.
