I think it's inescapably the club's business if the co-owner is buying interests in another football club.

The doubt McCabe or other directors just shrug their shoulders and think it's nowt to do with us guv.
The media do right to ask either way, it's their job..
The whole point of a Corporate Law is that a limited company is a separate legal entity from its shareholders. The Prince is a free individual and can invest where and when he likes.
United might be 'interested' in what he is doing, but they have no legal interest or right to know.
I can only assume that the word 'inescapably' was put in there to further the aganeda that basically we are a bad club with bad men in charge and up to no good.
Fair question to ask Wilder as the club itself has said nothing as far as I know about it.
It could have been about players and some kind of tie-up but his response suggests it isn't.
Not called him a Pig yet, losing your touch. You do that, whittlearse

I'm trying hard to get les the visaWell Thanks for asking. Of course, when England played out there in Riyadh, NO Visas were made available to traveling fans. Indeed, to visit the country you either have to be on an Islamic Pilgrimage or be invited for business. I have mates who tried & failed both ways. Which says a lot about what a despotic, closed, secretive regime it is. Of course, the Carrier Bag Firm Logistics Officer is female. So, as a female, she wouldn't have even been able to drive the Battle Bus. Which says a lot about what a despotic, closed, secretive regime it is. Lord knows what they'd do with Les if she persisted in invading the pitch.
Live, I have only seen Saudi Arabia U20 v Ecuador
So, fair do, I've not seen much of the Saudis live.
My main experience of live major Middle East teams has been
Iran v Iraq
Iraq v Palestine
Qatar v UAE
Bahrain v UAE
Iraq (v Korea)
Oman (v Korea)
Kuwait (v Korea)
I am planning on doing The AFC Asian Cup in 2019 (hosted in the UAE). So, maybe I'll catch the Saudis live again out there.
There's two ways of looking at this: Either this will prove to be a good thing for United and the Prince has invested there which will hopefully mean we also get the benefit of players from there and we can maybe send our fringe and younger players over there for a loan. On the other hand, and as others have said, the Prince will spend more money in Belgium than United and this is a sign that not all is well with the partnership. I haven't read every comment on this thread but I haven't read one that has speculated that the Prince's investment in a Belgium club is no coincidence as McCabe lives in Belgium - at least in part - and has invested there before from memory - White Star Wolf or something like that. I'd never heard of them but I have heard of Beerschot. The purchase could well be a sign that the partnership between the Prince and McCabe ois actually good but maybe McCabe wants the Prince to use his money for taking over the world again - ha ha! It didn't work last time but the financial crash was a major factor from memory and we obviously didn't stay in the Prem for long either.
Essentially we could really do with a statement on our website that says what this means for United. If we don't get one then speculation will only become rife and our fans will draw their own conclusions.

McCabe left Belgium some time ago.
He must know the Belgium football scene though - if he bought the club before. Its just a guess from me but it seems to much a coincidence that the Prince has bought a club in Belgium. Maybe its the optimist in me!
Indeed. That's a fair post but it's not actually Club related it really is the Princes personal business and up to him. IMO anyway.
Think division is a bit strong though. For example UnitedBlade and I are usually firmly on the same hymn sheet. I doubt that that will change just because we see this differently.
The problems only start on here when people pretend you've said something you haven't. But then it's a broad church and there's room for the sad, bitter and lonely.
Indeed.
I'm even fed up of my own opinions on this subject now! I think I'll give it a rest.
Errr... only joking lads... just bantzCharlton Mk 2.
