Disagree, perfectly acceptable question from Buchan.

They should also be asking McCabe and the Prince but Wilder is the face of the club week in, week out whether he likes it or not.

Wilder has nothing to do with that side of the club. Nothing. Would you think it's acceptable for Buchan to ask McCabe about whether Jake Wright should play?

Buchan should get Andy Giddings to contact McCabe if he doesn't have his number. Or even better, HRH, let's clear it up once and for all.

Just froth for the Twitterati

Don't you think by being in attendance on Monday night at the Octagon,Wilder was showing which side he is on?
Probably but we don't know.

There are rumours about disagreements which we don't fully understand but it concerns me greatly that we seem to have these divisions. Ultimately it won't be good for the club and will lead to a crossroads and potentially acrimony.

It must be difficult for Chris because no one wants his work disrupted.

That does not sound good. Chris is reknowned for being honest in interviews and he seems to have avoided answering a good question from Buchan. This does not augur well.

Aye, the sky is falling in
Just seen a lass from Tesco's (shelf stacker - obviously !?) on national TV being asked about the gender specific disparity in pay
Her reply was:-It's a fookin disgrace, the blokes do fuck all while I'm workin me fingers t'bone........an dun't get me started on t'owners / directors an me gaffer's a tosser n'all

It would have been easy for him to say,I'm watching the u23s Kevin, however he chose to be on the stage at the Octagon, maybe McCabe forced him to go,maybe he didn't want to get cold, that's my take on things, pure guesswork on my part.

You carry on with the were doomed scenario

He will have something to do with it, if the intention is for this to be part of our international scouting network.

All three, McCabe, The Prince and Wilder have spoken about an international scouting network in the last few months. My guess is McCabe and the Prince don't agree on how to go about about it and the monies involved. Probably amongst other disagreements.

You seem to be in the know that this categorically has nothing to do with international scouting for United. If that is the case, fine but I'm glad Buchan asked the question at the end of the interview, at the very least it shows there's no collusion on questions he can't ask. Wilder avoided answering and that's fine too.

Chris certainly talked about an international scouting network in the interview he gave to ESPN in November. Scouting is definitely in Wilder's remit and Buchan was right to ask the question.

Huge step to imply I'm saying we're doomed. If there's acrimony at Board level, it needs to be resolved.

Equally, you must think Kevin and the Prince are moving in together. :)

I'm not in the know. I'm basing it on the silence coming out of the club, rather than putting two and two together, tapping my ruby heels together and hoping for a bright new dawn. HRH appears to be the investor, not SUFC.

I'm keeping Wilders dog in my shed as Kevin asked me to do. He had no choice.

It's still fine. For now......

So am I but I'll contact you in future on what can be discussed and what can't on this forum.

I doubt he'd have any input in the financing and legal side. Which it appears is all that's happening at the moment. And why would he? Maybe if it's actually anything to do with us and players come through in the future. If.

As I pointed out with the Jake Wright analogy. Horses for courses. McCabes clearly not returning calls..... :)

I know HRH is the sole investor, this has been clear since October. Yes there is silence from the club but who doesn't want a brighter future for the club.

Everything is rumour and conjecture about this. When the news came out it was obviously going to cause debate and debate based on zero facts can only result in division. With all the other "rumours" about funding and "fall outs", IMO the club should issue a statement simply stating the facts. It won't stop some of us disbelieving them of course but at least it would give us something to base debates on rather than a news story about an investment by our co-owner but with no mention of our club. The concern I have is that the uncertainty currently being created by the current rumours and silence could start to gnaw away at the whole club togetherness Wilder has instilled, which has to be bad for everyone.

Fair question to ask Wilder as the club itself has said nothing as far as I know about it.
It could have been about players and some kind of tie-up but his response suggests it isn't.

That's a fair post but it's not actually Club related it really is the Princes personal business and up to him. IMO anyway.

Think division is a bit strong though. For example UnitedBlade and I are usually firmly on the same hymn sheet. I doubt that that will change just because we see this differently.

The problems only start on here when people pretend you've said something you haven't. But then it's a broad church and there's room for the sad, bitter and lonely.

Watched much Saudi football me owd carrier bag firm
Well Thanks for asking. Of course, when England played out there in Riyadh, NO Visas were made available to traveling fans. Indeed, to visit the country you either have to be on an Islamic Pilgrimage or be invited for business. I have mates who tried & failed both ways. Which says a lot about what a despotic, closed, secretive regime it is. Of course, the Carrier Bag Firm Logistics Officer is female. So, as a female, she wouldn't have even been able to drive the Battle Bus. Which says a lot about what a despotic, closed, secretive regime it is. Lord knows what they'd do with Les if she persisted in invading the pitch.

Live, I have only seen Saudi Arabia U20 v Ecuador

So, fair do, I've not seen much of the Saudis live.
My main experience of live major Middle East teams has been
Iran v Iraq
Iraq v Palestine
Qatar v UAE
Bahrain v UAE
Iraq (v Korea)
Oman (v Korea)
Kuwait (v Korea)

I am planning on doing The AFC Asian Cup in 2019 (hosted in the UAE). So, maybe I'll catch the Saudis live again out there.

I agree about it not being club related Sean and that's all they need to say in order to close down the rumours. and I only mentioned "division" because, being Blades, it certainly doesn't take long for many of us to start getting more than a bit arsey does it

Which would mean that it's not the club's business?

I think it's inescapably the club's business if the co-owner is buying interests in another football club.
The doubt McCabe or other directors just shrug their shoulders and think it's nowt to do with us guv.
The media do right to ask either way, it's their job..
