“... if the Blades beat Newcastle“

A senior Sheffield United official said: "While fellow citizens selflessly rally together to face the nation’s greatest challenge since World War II, it is unfortunate that a few choose to broadcast their petty grievances in a misguided effort to sow division. The Club will not dignify such people with a response.”

He’s making himself look a right cunt, McCabe just take the money and piss off, I used to like home and appreciate what he did to keep us going but wow just wow ⚔️⚔️

I thought the Prince lived in San Francisco anyway. Pretty difficult to be jailed in Saudi if you live in the States.

That aside as it's a bit far fetched. I don't see how the Saudi Crown Prince can be a fit and proper person given some of his activities. But then and again, he's got loads of cash so they FA won't give a shit!

I don't mind all this drama. None of it really matters. I've come out firmly against Saudi Money invested in Sheffield United. One day, that will be over. Until then, we just have to roll with the punches. The Big Prinz thought he was being clever & pulling a masterstroke by buying into the Club, but not the Ground & property. That's nipping him on the arse a bit now. That's his fault. If he's got the cash, he can legally buy McCabe out. But, with football postponed, and no revenue stream for the Club, maybe he's got a problem with the cash. Anyway, he could put an end to the drama immediately by paying McCabe. I don't mind all this drama.

Well it is the Sun not the usual Daily Fail mouthpiece but how low has KM got?

Not the fact he's putting out this ludicrous story whilst he is the middle of Arbitration and after both parties issued a joint statement stating they would comment no further, not the fact he's involving an arch SUFC critic piggy Betts in this but the fact he's employed a PR company who manage to put out a headline that is rated on a par with " Freddie Starr ate my hamster" 😀

Well I defended him to the last but this is just stupidity, if he was acceptable as half owner why suddenly not now? Embarrassingly low blow.
Contacted Amnesty International?I hope they told them to fuck off too.
The response from United is my favourite part of the article.

You can say what you want about McCabe, but at least he doesn't proffer The Sun as a credible source of information

I believe that's what Jamal Khashoggi said when his Mrs warned him about going into a Saudi embassy after embarrassing the potential Newcastle owner

An embarrassment related to a game of sport? Will any owner of a team that beats Newcastle be able to visit Riyadh without being imprisoned, or is it just the Saudi Arabian football owners that need to watch their step?

It’s again a mad bit of PR from Team McCabe, and should be every bit an indication of where he thinks the arbitration is going to likely go.

I’ve had very little to do this weekend other than listen to the very professional Bladespod retrospectives (slurs on against Nicky Marker aside) and it got me mulling over a question I’ve never heard an answer to..... who has the biggest ego between McCabe and Warnock?

I think the arrested thing is over the top. I think a minor Saudi Prince probably wouldn't want to annoy the big man for many reasons.

Is that what you'd call a cock fight?

Seeing as they haven't agreed on a price yet - and bearing in mind the club's statement about why that is - maybe that and possible subsequent legal activity are the reason?

Covid 19 issues apart, getting a PL club for around £50m isn't bad business. With hindsight it's changed, a year ago it was a coup.

Were the property assets on the table when they originally did their deal? The share agreement etc suggests that was always for the future.

Because The Big Prinz didn't buy into the ground (for whatever reason), it's easy for McCabe to snipe from the sidelines isn't it. McCabe sort of holds a reasonable set of cards. "You want me to ride off into the sunset. No danger, pay me what I'm asking .... if indeed you can"
That's why I can't get angry about it all. One day, The Big Prinz will either pay him, or we'll find out he can't raise the moolah. Let 'em all piss around until then. It only really matters when we/they reach that point.

The Prince should be very very careful and not go to the Embassy. Dangerous place.

it’s closed at the moment but can get a bit lairy of a Saturday....

Embassy Ballroom, Mansfield Road on a Satdi neet?

I knew there was a reason why we moved from Gleadless.

In the unlikely event McCabe wrestled back control of the club does he honestly believe we’d welcome him back?
the first thing he’d do is sell players and try to claim the prince had put the clubs future in danger by overspending.
the quicker McCabe finds something else to occupy himself with the better
.
