In the unlikely event McCabe wrestled back control of the club does he honestly believe we’d welcome him back?
the first thing he’d do is sell players and try to claim the prince had put the clubs future in danger by overspending.
the quicker McCabe finds something else to occupy himself with the better
.
As far as I'm concerned, no matter what happens McCabe has managed to get himself into a position where he shouldn't be welcomed back to BDTBL even as a paying customer.

Have they really. I haven't seen that. That doesn't sound like the sort of statement they'd usually put out. Have you got a link to that please?

You're obvious support of McCabe and use of terms such as "The Big Prinz" are starting to make you look like someone with an axe to grind here so are you related to the family or part of his amazing PR team? Either way, something doesn't smell right with your arguments.

Its in the newspaper article;

Kate Allen, Director of Amnesty International UK, said the cases of Newcastle and Sheffield United were “very different”.

Allen said the Toon deal would give ownership to the sovereign wealth fund of the Saudi state, which has a terrible human rights record, while Prince Abdullah was a private businessman.

Hi Mate. I'm not a McCabe supporter. The Big Prinz is a reference to a song by my favourite band. I have got an axe to grind. I've published my views in Dem Blades Fanzine. I don't want Saudi Money involved in my Club. As it happens, I don't want McCabe money either. But, I'm very open. And happy to explain my views. Any smell you're worried about, I'll air freshen if I can.
I think it is OK to be against Saudi Money in our Club. And, I argue that doesn't make me a Lesser Blade. Similarly, anyone who wants Saudi Money at our Club is also not a Lesser Blade. People can differ.

All fine. McCabe wants X. The Big Prinz will only pay Y. Both are prepared for that Fandango to drag on. McCabe could end it by accepting Y. The Big Prinz could end it by paying X. They both signed an agreement. How did The Big Prinz think it might play out? This is what happens in Big Football. This is what we've become. Me, I'm dealing with it. My preference is The Big Prinz just puts an end to it all. I understand The Big Money arguments why he isn't. But, he is making a choice.....

As I see it, the Prince is trying to get the best deal for the club, we are paying for this out of the Premiership money after all. If he can get the land cheaper than what McCabe is after then I’m all for it. The money we have saved can then be put towards another player or training facilities etc.

Thr Prince has said he wants the club to be self efficient, so all money at the club is from staying in the Prem and other revenues. So really, the Prince isn’t putting any “Saudi Money” into the club at all.

Thanks for clarifying Phil. The only thing I'd say is that I this Saudi money is going into Newcastle whereas ours is the money of an individual Saudi businessman and some of his business contacts I do think there is a difference. but, as you say, it doesn't make anyone a bigger or lesser blade ;)

This comment from Amnesty should really be the end of attempts to draw a direct link between Prince Abdullah’s involvement with the club and with the Saudi government and their appalling human rights record. I’ve seen so many Newcastle fans try and justify their sale on the basis of our ownership – they don’t seem to grasp the difference between being effectively owned by the Saudi head of state and being owned by a private Saudi businessman.

The Prince's money is Saudi money in the same way McCabes is English money. Neither have anything to do with the state, that's just where they happen to be from. Unless I'm mistaken? Being a Saudi Prince does not automatically grant them fabulous wealth. I would imagine the people buying his paper products are probably saudi's but just regular Joe's like you and me. Is their money not as good as ours?

I agree there is clearly a difference between "the source" of the Newcastle money & "the source" of the SUFC money. And, I'm not anti The Big Prinz. I wouldn't be surprised to hear he's a nice man. With a heart of gold. But, the one thing I won't have is that he's a self made businessman, who has started at the bottom, and his wealth is nothing to do with being a member of the House of Saud & a former member of The Saudi Government. You're in the House of Saud. You get a fucking big leg up. Because the House of Saud chop heads off. Doors open. Him .... easily could be distanced from that & a nice bloke. His money - comes, at root, from the power that appalling Human Rights give you. I'm unyielding on that bit.....

The Big Prinz was born into the House of Saud. Not his fault. He served as an unelected member of an unelected Saudi Government. Maybe not his fault. That Government maintains power by killing people, chopping their hands off. Not his fault. That power places them in a very advantageous position. Not his fault. If you want to start a business. There's a bit of money knocking about. Not his fault. If you want a contract, you're looked upon favourably. Not his fault. His money comes in a very short chain from those hands being chopped off. Not his fault. But, of course, I don't want that fucking scab money anywhere near Wilder's pocket. Not his fault.
(But what about Man City, what about Bush. What about Blair. What about Banks who deal with the Saudis. What about McCabe. What about.....)

I’m sure we can all see where you’re coming from Re the Saudi regime but l’m puzzled by you wanting him to pay the “asking price” if you don’t want what you see as tainted money in the club. There’s already almost £17m that we know about in there.

Oh yeah. No drama. I'm fully aware my position is untenable. And I'm complicit. It's the new reality for me. The Big Prinz won ownership of part of the club in a British Court Of Law. I'd have preferred it if his money had never come to the Club. But, it did. One day. Hopefully in my lifetime. That money will be gone. Inevitably to be replaced by some other Bollocks. But, now, his money is here. And, the position is messy. And he could tidy it up. But, he chooses not to. I understand why people see it as The Big Prinz vs King Kev. Which side are you on Boy? Fucking neither......
I'm Guilty as you charge Sean Thornton & I've never pretended otherwise.

There’s no point in moaning and groaning. No there fucking isn’t Kev so give it a rest. We’re pissed off enough as it is without you twatting on about PA getting prison for winning a football match.

“No point moaning and groaning, wheres mi money towelhead, see you in court again, Amnesty Scarborough are after you, l’ve had right bad luck, this Beattie Flu outbreak is making it hard for everyone,”

Depends what that asking price is doesn't it? Would you pay 15k for a used car just cos the current owner says he thinks that is what it’s worth when you think 5k is closer to the mark?
Ok back to defending the man; in the analogy the car purchaser has just found out the valuable sound system (for sake of argument) is not included in the sale of the car even though it had been assumed to be and now the buyer is insisting he gets it.
McCabe is trying to divide up what is sold on the Bramall Lane footprint. “The Big Prinz” as you call him believes the whole of the land on the Bramall Lane footprint was included.
No it was already separate, it had been purchased separately from the rest of the ground and not amalgamated.

Imagine the Prince selling back to McCabe. Within a month half the team will be sold off and SUFC will see new partner clubs from around the world.
“It’s the way to grow the club” McCabe says

End of season relegation
” We may have to sell our best players to keep afloat”
Shame we haven’t any left but come on the Ferenvci! Oh wait!??

He truly screwed up last time.

You mean do what the Prince has done with the Belgium club and that club he's just formed in the middle East?

“No point moaning and groaning, wheres mi money towelhead, see you in court again, Amnesty Scarborough are after you, l’ve had right bad luck, this Beattie Flu outbreak is making it hard for everyone,”
At last. Something he's found not to moan and groan about.
