Of course going up is the main priority. But if we allow Bolton to beat us to the title given we are 4 points clear with 7 to play it will be very disappointing. I am sure Wilder and the players will be thinking the same.

Oh I definitely want us to win it, we've got some proper competition now with a Close rival in great form so hopefully the lads will step up to the challenge and we win it in style.

UTB!

Big game Tuesday, win that and all the pressure is on Bolton and Fleetwood. We can afford a slight slip like today (if indeed that was what it was given oldhams form and that pitch) neither of those two really can.
The season wasn't decided today nor will it be on Tuesday it's about points over 46 games.
Still in our own hands which is better than we have been able to say for years.

again lets see how boltons golden footballers cope at boundary park at easter
see if they glide over that surface

no need to panic they still have to win 2 more over 7 games , cant see it

we got a result out of it
take that as games count down

Promotion first, title second. I accept that losing out on the title at this stage would be a tad dissapointing but it won't sour my celebration drinks too much provided we secure second.

Anything but the title will feel like a let down.

40 years supporting the Blades and all I have seen us lift is the 4th Division trophy.
It's not too much to ask.

Add to the fact that when ever I have seen Bolton they arn't that good.
But everything seems to be going for Bolton at the moment.

Who play Chesterfield and Swindon at home respectively.
Fail to beat Millwall and the pressure could well be on us this time next week!!
I really wish we were top by four points and ten points clear of third so that I could look on the brightside a bit!

I'm not a happy clapper I've been a Blade too long for that but sometimes I do think we take this fatalism too far.

At least our manager seems to keep perspective

Tuesday will (I think) tell us all we need to know about Uniteds intentions.
I don't doubt for a second our desire to win and our complete self belief in that whatever the 90 minutes throws at us we will still triumph at the end but sometimes that isn't enough over a long season.
A great professional performance, a bit of deserved luck and 3 points against Millwall and I really do think we'll be unstoppable.
A great atmosphere and a big vocal backing on Tuesday evening might just make the difference and carry us over the line when we need it the most.
Come on boys, big, big game and a great opportunity to leave Bolton behind.

I want it all I tell you, all of it!!!!!!

I'm with you YBB,
I just wanted to chuck in the fact that 2nd and 3rd have seemingly easy games while we have an awkward one on Tuesday to counter your point that if we win Tuesday the pressure is on them.
I remain convinced we will go up, but a defeat on Tuesday coupled with the other 2 winning on Saturday would add pressure to us who then face a Coventry side that, although probably too late now, have just won their last two and wouldn't be averse to spoiling our promotion plans I'm sure!!
Saying that, Bolton are at Southend the day before we play Coventry, so who knows what the f**k will happen before now and the end of the season!!
Bottom line for me is that I can't think of anyone better than CW to make it happen, and that's a pleasure to be able to say.

If we concede the title to Bolton I will be gutted and really pissed off. It will feel like an anticlimax. Yes we will both play in the same league next season but yet again it will mean we have not gone the extra mile.
Fucking win the bastard Blades.

For someone who is openly not getting carried away I'm surprised you seem so bothered if we are runners up to Bolton. 1st or 2nd ... doesn't really matter mate just need to get out of this shithole of a division

Why would not getting carried away, which I NEVER am, contradict a huge desire to win the league ?
Frankly we'll be a bit gash if we don't mate.
Do you seriously think ANY other set of fans would be happy with SECOND BEST in our position???
Would they fuck and neither should we!

After 6 years in this league I would be chuffed being 2nd best, it's all about promotion, title would be a brucey bonus.

Genuinely admire you staying level headed when we're winning mate when all the rest of us are getting giddy, just surprised me to see you fretting at the thought of us finishing 2nd to Bolton.

If we finish second you can have my ticket for the party.
I'll have someting better to do than celibrate not much.
6 years to get out of the gash league behind fucking Bolton won't do a damn thing for me.
Win the fucking thing.

And I think your opinion is absolutely rubbish and is one of the reasons we accept second best year in year out.

How old are you? Old enough to remember our last promotion from this League? Second place to Wolves? Not worth it in your book..should have handed it to Port Vale then...

What happend the following season?

Bolton have had ALL the advantages this season, big money players on Loan, debts written off, like some others before them..

You don't want to celebrate promotion however it comes? Don't bother renewing next season then.

I'll do whatever I want next season as will absolutely everyone else.
I'll also express my opinion which is second this season would be a totall let down.
You do what you want.

Sorry Za but 'second place to Wolves' that year was totally different. They were the best team that year and proved it.
This season WE are widely regarded as being the best team/squad in this division and have a great squad playing really good football and a healthy lead at the top with just a few games to play. Only Port Vale (away) could possibly be classed as a 'dodgy' pitch that might not suit us and four of our games are at home on the best surface in the league.
Not being negative but I'd be very disappointed if we don't finish as champions this season.
No excuses. We've heard enough in our time.
Win it and lets go into the Championship with real momentum and our heads held high.

I think "total let down" is a bit strong. I think disappointing considering the current standings is a bit more like it. I reckon you would've accepted 2nd after the first 4 games of this season.

I'm surprised you'd be so gutted about losing out to Bolton anyway, considering your statement earlier about them being better than us on all pitch conditions
