I never quite understood Robbo and maybe wont Keef had a poor game - Squinny was knocking in the balls great from the corners - but Squnny is taken off ?? - Shelton was quality but can only make the subs bench and it goes for alot of players too. I thought Bardsley looked promising

We didn't play too bad yesterday, I'm just not enjoying going to games at the minute. We're playing boring football.

Fair enough, there's progressive football, but this isn't it. We're not progressing up the field to create chaces, we're going nowhere.

Not happy at the minute, less happy every game :(

atm i just sit in my seat in bemusement of what i'm seeing.

The subs at half time were puzzling yesterday Stead and S quinny seemed to be doing alright- i reckon he brought Webber and Shelton on as he has been told lose and you are gone... so he had to inject pace upfront

Corners-some were shocking ie 2nd half aiming for the other corner flag is not clever.

I thought Preston corners were quite good ie three players left off the D then all charge in as the corner is taken- looked dangerous.

if you dont have a midfield you wont win the battle in the middle!!!!!!!!!!

"RELEGATION" ROBSON OUT

Lets face it, we were brought down to PNE's level. They do this to team after team.

Roll on Leicester.

we shouldnt be brought down to there level though, down to the manager to sort that.

I actually predicted the subs at half time. I thought Squinny did ok and Stead worked well, but my thinking was that Webber can play wide left as well as up front, so with Beattie as the target man, and Shelton's pace as well, we could have caused them problems. Especially as their keeper was flapping at everything in the air. We could also go 4-3-1-2 if needed.

Unfortunately, we were so bloody clueless, it wouldn't have mattered who we put on, what formation we had, who was where, or anything really.

My comment on the Kop was "I'm not sure whether to be proud or extremely worried. Half of me is proud of predicting a double sustitution, and the other half is scared shitless that I'm thinking the same way as Sornob.".

It is true that I'd consumed a fair amount of Russian Cola at that point.

I thought we played some pretty decent stuff for most of the 1st half and Alan Quinn was outstanding. Robbo obviously gave them a rousing talking to at half-time because we came out and couldn't seem to string 3 passes together until the last 10 minutes. Quinny faded in the 2nd half but I don't know if that's because Preston were happy to get everyone behind the ball and hoof it clear.
In the end, Stretch was MOTM by far. Excellent game

What happened with the pen at the end? Looked like a dead cert from where I was sat but I heard it mentioned that is was a dive...?

I heard the complete opposite. Even from my far from perfect vantage point on the Kop (in line, but however far away), it looked stonewall to me, and some of the Preston fans agreed as I was on my weary way to the Cricketers' afterwards.
