Other than being the father of your grandchild, what's the justification for picking Blaster over Peck?

Kids, women and old age pensioners seem to make up the majority of the crowd these days, or at least that's what it looks like when the cameras pan round the Blades sections. Same with the away followings. Not knocking them, good on em, but might go a long way to explaining why the Lane has lost the noisy, imtimidating atmosphere it was once famous for. Football in a library indeed.
your right it does seem that way not building them up but if you look at pigs away followings majority seem to be young and middle aged blokes and our poor away followings have to be down to the manager and the slow unatractive football we are playing

O'Hare to score a perfect hat-rick against us and have a worldie and watch a few of the fans clap him off the pitch when he gets subbed off after 60 minutes!
Moore to score an overhead kick from the edge of the box!

I'm going 5-4 to us! Cooper to score from a goal kick!

Same as before, but this time I'll expand it.

Why doesn't Donovan get many starts or even minutes - despite being our best player by a country mile, giving the entire crowd a lift when he comes on and changes the dynamic of the game.
Because Diaz had a decent game against Lincoln. The fact he's been crap in every other game doesn't seem to matter.

It is never a good idea to make Wilder reveal too many things. Dont want too many know it alls to interfere with team selections and tactics.
Wilder won't respond to any "interference" , he's too stubborn.
But the owners ought to know that serious questions are being asked about his performance as a manager.
And they'll never be asked by his mate Bettis , so unfortunately the fans are limited to making their own noise and trying to get journos onside.
Which is an uphill battle with his other mate , Danny boy

The published attendance is a fig leaf masking a malaise that has been gnawing away at the club for five years. Last season Betis stated that on average circa one third of season ticket holders don't attend each game.

So perhaps 15k yesterday, plus the Derby fans and a handful of single match purchasers, charitably a 19-20k attendance. Which is what it looked like to me, watching 20 minutes of it on my mobile in Ireland. A few years ago I'd miss one or two games a season at most, now I don't even look at the fixture list before booking a holiday.

What hurts isn't that crowds are lower but that a lot of those who do attend are totally fucking disengaged, me included . Goals used to be celebrated wildly even in relatively unimportant games. Now its a brief cheer and a round of applause, standing up optional

Even in the dark days of crowds of 10k and lower, those who were there were totally invested.

I don't know who is to blame. Wilder has certainly played his part.

Sorry for the moan but I hate what this club has become.

I feel exactly the same. I'm working on Friday and usually sort out a shift change so I can watch the game but I'm just not engaged enough with United at the moment to bother. We all knew it would be a tough season and a lot of it is probably that we're still coming down off the high of the initial rise under Wilder but I've never seen so many long standing fans so disengaged. These are people who had season tickets and went home and away in L1 year on year, now saying they likely won't renew next season.

Wilder fatigue is definitely a big factor for a lot of people but I fear it goes deeper than him and it seems like the board are just happy to keep plodding on with this outdated way of running a football club.

Chris.

If there was a fight between a Hippo, a Great White shark, a Salt Water Crocodile and a Killer Whale who do you think would win?

I don't think the atmosphere has been the since the Covid season plus there is a lot of complacency crept into our fan base, perhaps due to multiple promotions to the Premier League and all the disappointments that followed on from that

Intresting and accurate phrase , Wilder fatigue is very real amongst the support and possibly the players .
Like alot of ST holders , I still get excited on a match day , hoping it'll be different, but it rarely is .
If the blades were a boxer nobody would want them on the bill , we hardly throw a punch , just flick out a few jabs hoping to win on points .
It'll be enough to stay up but thats about all .

Make him reveal? I was under the impression it’s a press conference, I didn’t realise he was being tortured.

I’ll definitely be watching to see Wilder being water boarded until he answers the question of why BBD is in the team. 😂
I do miss dem Water Boards 😢
You can shove your fat cat Utility companies where the sun don't shine.

It's the realisation that we are a very badly run club that's managed to throw away 2 promotions to the PL ,
through ownership bollox & management bollox.
I defy any other club to have put on the pantomime of cruel comedy that we've had since 2021.

In his post match interview he said that supporters would question where BBD is if he was dropped for Donovan. Can he explain where the fuck he got that idea from, and does he truly, genuinely believe that BBD has done anything to suggest fans would pick him over Donovan?
I'd like to take his answer to this one for review by 2 psychiatrists and get him sectioned without demur.
