CW has said that plans are about done and should be announced soon.Will not be a long preseason l know but I am ok with that;trust players and staff to be fit when needed.

Apologies if I have just missed it but any rumors or such of what preseason friendlies we looking at? Predictions?

Never seen them look so off the pace as they did at the restart after expecting them to be fitter and hungrier than the competition.

Not the slightest ITK but wouldn’t surprise me if they didn’t go anywhere abroad pre-season and not just because of covid restrictions.

Suspect the players have been given 2-3 weeks off, report back mid/late August and by then the season will only be 2/3 weeks away.

For this reason I think I they will look for 3-4 local friendlies only

Just to point out for sake of it, elite sports employees are exempt from quarantine. Premier League players are regarded as elite. Not sure about the lower leagues though.

I honestly think we over trained, can't see the same mistake being made, although it does take a couple of games for us to get back to our intensity.

So Basham was the only one immune to the rigors of solo training. No surprise there then.

In a way I hope that was the problem rather than being under prepared.

I was very surprised at how long it took us to get into our stride but even then I could never see a CWAK side being under prepared.

It's very rare that Wilder makes the same mistake twice so you would hope that we will get the balance right before the start of the new season.
