He's out of reach for the pigs. If it wasn't West Ham it would have been West Brom or Stoke when they fancy a change. Or Swansea, or.... He's not going to drop into the championship unless he is on his arse.
Well don't have half measures with your wishful thinking, when there's the likes of Zola around.True, more wishful thinking on my part.
Moyes in at West Ham after Bilic is sacked.
This stuff honestly just writes itself.
Has he actually been appointed? He's a long term builder and planner whose tenure at Everton was based on excellent scouting and recruitment. He's not really much of an impact manager. He'll have to hope that the players respond on the basis that he's not Bilic and he can get off to a decent start before overhauling the club but my gut feeling is that it will be Sunderland repeated.

Shit, I didn't answer the phone this morning thinking it was EDF chasing a bill. I bet it was Sunderland...John O'Shea was favourite yesterday
I'm genuinely serious.Shit, I didn't answer the phone this morning thinking it was EDF chasing a bill. I bet it was Sunderland...
If supporters got a vote then Clough may still have been in charge of us...Some of the appointments and sackings that take place by boards of directors makes me seriously wonder if the season ticket holders should be given a vote and the successful candidates in order be approached! I mean, as much as I don't like West Ham, are they seriously about to appoint David Moyes!? Who's next in the short list, Steve McClaren and then Ronald McDonald!?
Everton are just desperate to give David Unsworth game after game so he can hopefully win a few and then appoint him - because he's an Evertonian - like that really matters!? Its a bonus don't get me wrong, but at the end of the day, a successful record is what matters. Foe me the managers who should be moving up the pecking order are Dean Smith at Brentford - does a great job on a fairly average budget, plays good football and gets results, Paul Hurst at Shrewsbury has done consistently well and Paul Cook always seems to do well, and plays good football. I hear Sheffield United have a good manager but can't remember hid name now?!

Moyes is the epitome of dour, boring, and uninspiring managers and possibly the worst example i think i've seen in football. How he continues to get work based on a half decent few seasons with Everton i'll never know. He's failed everywhere else he's been since.
West Ham are most welcome to him if the rumours are true.
Maybe they should wait for Pulis to get the boot from West Brom as they're currently struggling near the foot of the Premier League with crisis looming................. so they can be seen to be bringing a manager in with a proven track record of going in to crisis clubs and getting them away from the foot of the Premier League.
It's all a bit bloody bonkers down there.

Their fans would go beserk...... they barely accepted Big Sam

Schteve McLaren....is that how the Dutch pronounced his name when he worked for Twente FC?Same with Schteve McLaren.

Bournemouth spent an absolute fortune to get promoted from L1. How they didn’t face SCMP sanctions is beyond me, they must have exceeded the allowed 65% salary threshold. It’s not always about fees, it’s wages.

If Sunderland hadn't sacked him, that's where he would be.
Cocked up at Manyoo, Real Sociedad and Sunderland.
What does he have to do to get found out?
United did post big losses as they tried to manage the costs of relegation.2 things about that, first the article doesn't give a breakdown as to where the money was spent so some could have been an infrastructure spend (I don't know just saying not enough info).
Secondly Sheffield United have posted losses around that figure (underwritten by the owner and offset by player sales) most years since leaving the Premiership, I'm sure the resident accountants can correct me if I'm wrong in this.
There are some figures here: http://swissramble.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/sheffield-united-blades-rediscovering.html
Found out as what? A mid table PL manager who's not good enough to manage Man U, adapt to Spain or deal with a car crash club like Sunderland? Or a serial bad decision maker when it comes to the jobs he takes? If Sunderland hadn't sacked him, that's where he would be.

Eddie Howe: 3 promotions, including 1 as champions (Championship) all with the mighty Bournemouth who are now enjoying their third year in the top flight..
Fair enough but I'm sure as we all know that money is an aide in creating a good team, there are many more factors generally controlled by the manager which have the final say on promotion. Also I think it's misleading to say that United were managing the cost of relegation as buying players such as Beattie, Henderson and Evans for example would not come cheap either in fees or wages. And there was uproar on this board over the suggested wages of other players.United did post big losses as they tried to manage the costs of relegation.
I’ve looked at both sets of accounts, the pertinent fact of that season was Bournemouth’s wages were £11M, £3.5M higher than United’s on 2/3rds of the turnover. The owner significantly bankrolled a promotion.
Wilder's managerial performance is already impressive I'm not disputing that, just that when people say he's the best English manager I threw another couple of names into the discussion but a lot of people are disputing Howe as his achievements were assisted with financial backing.if we go up he will have won 3 promotions 2 as champions already , maybe a third ?
will be the first ever manager to win 3 promotions in 3 seasons at league level
level 4 to 1 in 3 seasons .... wow
its always subjective as we never 100 per cent know what wages players are on , as always money isnt everything but if you can pay player 30 k aweek your going to get better players and a better record than players on under 10 k a weekWilder's managerial performance is already impressive I'm not disputing that, just that when people say he's the best English manager I threw another couple of names into the discussion but a lot of people are disputing Howe as his achievements were assisted with financial backing.
