Premiership Manager Roundabout

I think the 'good British manager' is overplayed. Blokes like Pulis, Hughes, Holloway, Jackett, McCarthy etc. are 'solid' in that they'll never win anything and their 'style' would send a glass eye to sleep. Some'established' British managers make it easy for foreign managers to prosper. Allardyce fancies the Everton job. David Moyes is tipped for the Burnley job if Dyche leaves. FFS! Does nobody ever check their backgrounds and records?

My fear is due to their extended stay in the PL, if Burnley and/or Bournemouth lose their managers they can offer Wilder life changing money.

They've shown they trust English managers and both clubs are 'proper' clubs to quote the great man.

If we don't make it up this year, and either of them come in with £3m+ a year over 4 years, then who knows...

And I wouldn't begrudge him...

Nor would I but a bloke that travels around Sheffield on buses strikes me as someone who cares little for financial reward and more for the connection he feels to this City and Sheffield United. He is a rare phenomenon and I don't get the speculation re Premiership dosh.

I think the only Job that would supersede his current position would be as England Manager, but not yet!!!.

His mission here is nowhere near done in my humble opinion and knowing Chris and Alan when we get to the Prem their attention will be focused on qualifying for Europe, becoming the first to ever take us there. Why would they not ?

I believe that is the ultimate conquest. Only time will tell. In the meantime ,what a journey we are on. UTB.

As romantic a notion as that is, everyone has their price!!

If we don't go up this year, I'm sure Wilder will too...

The only foreign managers I give any credit too at the moment in the Prem are Potteccino and Wenger. However even Wenger needs usurping now as he's well past his sell by date.
Pochetino for me is the best in the league hands down. What he did with Southampton and is doing with Spurs whilst spending nigh on fuck all in comparison to his rivals is insane. He cares more about English youth development than the FA do!

I'm surprised Barca didn't come in for him last season. Knows the Spanish league well.

Crab Toys (a division of Crab Industries) are proud to bring you the Christmas Toy everyone will want, the Premiership Manager Roundabout.

A selection of collectable figures are available to go with the roundabout.

Harry I Can't Believe People Keep Employing Me Redknapp (an extra fee may apply to this figure)

Jose always on the brink of going postal Mourinho

Blind Arsene, don't ask him what's going on, he didn't see it.

Walking Talking Sam Allardyce, probably shouldn't do too much of the talking though, especially when out for a drink on "business"

Gordon Gissa Job Strachan

If you buy all the figures as a set, we will literally throw in Powerpoint Nigel Adkins and his dancing Geese. Also, Big Vern will come around on Christmas Eve to deliver them.

Merry fucking Christmas :)

How about a random foreign manager nobody has heard of.

Someone in the mould of Christian Gross.

Crab Football Agency (a division of Crab Industries) has just the man on it's books.

Antonio Randominio, a 54 year old Portuguese man, has a glittering CV.

2007 - Athletico Shitkickers. 14th in the Algarve Sub league division 17

2008 - Athletico Shitkickers reserves - 22nd in the Sub Algarve sub league Division 22. Left after relegation and a "misunderstanding" involving a Chicken.

2008 - 2016 - Ran a Chicken Restaraunt in Guia, left after several "misunderstandings" involving Chickens.

2016- present, assistant to someone called Carlos.

Regarding CW wanting to play the game as it should be, (which I agree with) the likes of those pair of twats at Leeds, and the guy last night rolling around like he'd been shot, that he rightly hates.
But will this go against him in the future, when linked to premiership jobs. I'm sure he's well aware of the dark arts and how to get players to do these things. But can only think premiership chairmen will find these views a little naive. Do we think he will have to change his thoughts, if and when he gets there, with or without us.

If Wilder's main attribute is getting so called lesser players to realise their full potential as part of a genuine full fitness. full on, team effort, any Premier League owner would have to sell off all their prima donna pussies before he'd even consider the job.

"So Mr Wilder...how do you intend to deal with our sensitive, highly remunerated star assets?"

"Bin 'em. Job's a good un."

Can't see Tufty fitting the job description really. Thank fuck.

Okay wasn't sure about this but he got Bournemouth into the Championship before anything approaching a million quid was spent. He bought 2 players in the Championship one at 2.5m and one at 8m and was then promoted to the Prem at which point the real spending started (as you'd expect). You still have to be a decent manager even when spending cash, don't forget we spent 2,3 & 4m on Henderson, Evans and Beattie for no real return.

Bournemouth spent an absolute fortune to get promoted from L1. How they didn’t face SCMP sanctions is beyond me, they must have exceeded the allowed 65% salary threshold. It’s not always about fees, it’s wages.

Didn’t they escape by getting into the Prem, as it is added up over 3 years and the EFL can’t impose sanctions on Prem clubs. Whether they could impose them if they were now relegated or whether there is a time limit on that I don’t know.

Biggest surprise on the subject is that the England manager is called Gareth fucking Southgate, it's unbelievable how many managers down the years have had that middle name, bit like the posh nigel fuckin- hopeless cunt Adkins.

Pigs have spent much more than Bournemouth over the last three years. The problem with Bournemouth is that the FFP and SCMP rules kept changing (for example, the change to SCMP to allow owner investment') so you'd have to get the rules for each season and apply it to Bournemouth's losses for that particular season. As it has no relevance to us, I doubt anyone on here can be bothered to do that.

Moyes in at West Ham after Bilic is sacked.

This stuff honestly just writes itself.

Moyes to last 14 games before he's sacked and replaced with Koeman.

I think long-term Moyes isn't that bad a manager. But so few clubs get the opportunity to build on anything in the Premier League and if Moyes doesn't deliver immediately then there'll be question marks over his head after 5 games, as there is with anybody.

It's all a bit bonkers up in that division.

Has he actually been appointed? He's a long term builder and planner whose tenure at Everton was based on excellent scouting and recruitment. He's not really much of an impact manager. He'll have to hope that the players respond on the basis that he's not Bilic and he can get off to a decent start before overhauling the club but my gut feeling is that it will be Sunderland repeated.

He won't last five minutes at the White Elephant Stadium.

They hounded out Curbishley (too cautious), Roeder (even when suffering a brain tumour), Pardew, Grant and BFS. The latter got them promoted but did not play the 'West Ham way'*.

They want someone with the kudos of Pep, the trophy record of Jose, proven youth policies like Arsenne and the battling muck and nettles attitude of Colin. He must also be an ex West Ham player and ideally live on jellied eels.

Let's hope they get a real prize wanker to finish Bilic's good work and take them down.

* A fictitious style of play that involves signing players with third party registrations, lying about it, lying again and then just handing over a few pound notes to the Premier League and saying you're 'really sorry'.

Hope moyes takes them down, had a cheeky tenner on wet spam to go down last week....im sure the odds have plummeted now moyes in charge

Word around the campfire is not just that it's Moyes...

It's a golden trio of Moyes, Stuart Pearce and Alan Irvine.

Make of that what you will.

It's a shame the S6 brigade didn't snap him up, watching that disaster unfold would have been pure comedy. Suppose we'll just have to settle for a Spammers relegation. :D

Sorry about your tenner but I hope not, at least for another season. We’ve got a score to settle and hopefully we’ll be the side that sends them down next season.

He's out of reach for the pigs. If it wasn't West Ham it would have been West Brom or Stoke when they fancy a change. Or Swansea, or.... He's not going to drop into the championship unless he is on his arse.
