I would be amazed if Utd go for Maddison - he's not a good fit for either of the positions CW is looking to recruit to (a big target man type striker and a Duffy-esque #10 to link mid & att). He's also got a well publicised questionable attitude and by all accounts is a bit of a tool - not exactly a CW type.

I'm not doubting his ability but I'd expect him to go to somewhere like Forest, Bristol City or Norwich rather than Utd.

Had a quick look at Soton's lineup today to see if he's involved and he's on the bench again. Also checked for Hogan @ Villa & he isn't in the squad. Not sure if he's injured or not mind.

Maddison is a left winger according to every single Pboro fan not in behind. He’s an out an out winger. Don’t understand why people make up new positions for him. Just ask someone on twitter or something instead of making it up.

Peterborough chairman has confirmed on twitter that Wilder was interested and text Barry Fry about Maddisons price, so Wilder must see him fitting into our system.

Its because most of them have never really seen him play, except maybe once or twice against Utd, and even then they didn't actually watch him play.
They were probably checking their mobiles to see how Port Vale are getting on against Cheltenham.:rolleyes:
 

Ipswich and many others apparently interested in Kayden Jackson at Accrington. Got 15 goals and 15 assists in L2 last season. Striker who can play wide, a quick, tricky type. Thought he looked good against us for Grimsby previously. Could we be one of those in for him?

Or hopefully the Liverpool lad Woodburn. More of a direct replacement for Brooks which in my opinion is the number 1 priority. Gallagher would be a great addition though too.

I read that as we'll get to find out on one target this week. It's Ben Woodburn.
 
I'm not sure it will be Woodburn. Why would he be classed as a previous target? We've had no discouragement with him, he's just gone on tour with Liverpool.

Whereas with Gallagher, we had the because..... wages problem which could have been seen to have drawn a line under it.

If CW is true to his word we will not be taking loan players who have clauses inserted that they have to play. That tends to rule out Liverpool players so could be Gallagher.
 

Phil Foden or Ben Woodburn. I am sure there were kinks with Foden earlier in the summer and I saw a tweet a few weeks ago from Liverpool who that Woodburn is going on loan after coming back from the US
