Hopefully it's not too late and the response will be favourable.

I'll keep trying. If they open just that one block for STs we've cracked it. So fingers crossed on that. Even if they don't make it available initially maybe they could at a later date if demand is obvious.

I really see no reason they couldn't at least open the block I've highlighted above (#25). It'd sell quickly and nothing would have to change in terms of fan entry/exit segregation etc. Half of that block is actually classed as the Westfield Corner.

As for the vocal area, I'd ask them to hold back at least 50 seats for fans who want to be there for this specific purpose, a bit like they have for the Burton game.

I've had a response from the club.

My email has been forwarded to anyone who might have a say in the matter.

The directors of the club have yet to make a decision. So nothing's decided yet. That gives me hope.

I'd be extremely interested in this. I've sat on BLUT for most of the season apart from one occasion in the south stand. I do tend to sit where you've put the away allocation so usually gangway B but in general the view from there is possibly one of the best (apart from it being the away end when you compare to second half us kicking towards the kop). So yea I'd love it if season tickets came into play next season for upper.

Football supporters, across the land, simply do not support their team (at home that is) vocally in the same way as in yesteryear. They just don’t. Go to ANY ground in the country and this is almost always so.

I could speculate as to why this is so, but it’s pointless. It’s changed. Accept it !

I suggest you get your “fix” of good vocal support by going to as many Blades away days as you can take in. Cos at home, it’s a lost cause.

Sorry Ricky, I'm late to this BLUT thing because I've only ever been a couple of times to the Westfield on BL and the time before that was between 1961 and 1967 with mi dad. Just a quick question which may be daft, but what is wrong with us having the lower tier? Gets rid of loads of logistical and security problems and its a good echo chamber down there?

It's certainly an uphill battle but I don't think it's quite a lost cause. I'm not even aiming too high with it.

Home support across the country is generally poor but I've been to every game this season and a number of clubs have better home support than us. Despite the high we've been on recently.

If we're to have any chance of salvaging our home atmosphere then something new needs to happen, and no one else is about to try anything so I might as well. As it is, football is going to shit in this country, and as fans we have to be more active in preventing that. Naturally it'll only get worse. Only with effort and organisation will it get better.

On paper, the idea has plenty of support. The majority approve of it. So what I'm aiming for should be easily achievable given the chance.
But will people actually stay true to their word and get their arses into gear? I hope so but apathy, indifference, shrugging your shoulders and waiting for everybody else seems to be the fashion...

For Millwall, which is considered a high risk game, we're opening the BLUT but fans will have to exit via the Westfield Corner.

If we can do that for this game, we can do it for any game next season and one or two extra blocks of ST holders will make no difference.
