As it stands season tickets are only available in Westfield Corner. Extending ST availability across the BLUT would make better use of this part of the ground and hugely assist in any efforts to establish a vocal support section up there.

I'm not sure if everything's already decided with the ST sales but indicating a good level of demand for this area could only increase the chances of at least one of these blocks being made available. So...

Would you be interested in getting a season ticket somewhere in the highlighted area below if they were available there? Vote in the poll if so.

BLUT adult STs are about £50 more than on the Kop.

Regarding home and away supporter entry/exit segregation, as far as I can see there's no problem there and everything is completely workable and low risk, even with away fans on the other end of the Upper Tier.

('No' isn't an option in the poll because this is just a tally)

Also, anyone who supports the plan to improve our home support and establish a vocal area in BLUT, please move here for the Burton game next Tuesday (13th March). Last chance this season. Numbers needed. You can move STs here for this game. See link for all the details.

And yes I'm very very sorry for starting another BLUT thread.

For everyone on here bemoaning our vocal support how about givingRicky a bit of support for the time and effort he's put in?

I've seen various "efforts" over the years, all done by big "look at me's" who've spit the dummy out when people haven't slavishly followed their demands. This time it's actually about supporting the club rather than an individual. Give him some fucking support if you want some vocal improvement. It'll go well with H block which can put the Kop to shame at times.

Had a ST up there in the 03/04 season. Very good view, but was a little bit lacking in general atmosphere, (not just singing). Wouldn't swap my ST on the kop now as it's slap bang in the middle and wouldn't get it back with our current levels of support.

keep battling Ricky lad you’re doing a fine job pal ;)

I would be interested in this project if It could be somewhere at the Kop end. It’s the home end, always will be.

What about the otherwise mostly pointless Kop corner? Seems an ideal spot to have something like this?

Fairly encouraging start for the low number of views this thread has had.

Yes. I think it'd be my first choice if my circumstances changed.

If I was getting one on my own usually automatically go with the kop, but after going in the BLUT a few times this season, it really is the best view in this house. If this came off it'd definitely swing it.

Can you make the Burton game Steve?

I'm going, but won't be taking part unfortunately, I was originally going with a younger relative but he can't make midweek games, so the other half is coming who can only make midweek games... I'd have been up for it had I been going on my own.

Hoping to be able to get a season ticket for next season, but where I work is unpredictable. I worked every Saturday up until December, and I think I've only worked one or two since... Will be having words.

I sit with mates who I have done for years and matchday is about the only time I see them. Consequently I'll not be moving as they won't all move.

I'm not one of those who gets overly worked up by the home atmospheres but I accept it can be better and has been disappointing a few times this season.

I think there will always be games when it's going to be flat no matter what, but all power to your elbow for putting the effort in and trying to attempt to improve things.

if you had a no then you could assess interest as a percentage of total answers

I considered that but obviously the majority would vote no and it would appear unfairly unfavourable. If 200 would move it doesn't matter if 20,000 wouldn't. As I said, it's just a tally. If we could get 100+ indicating interest that would be great because only a small sample of our fanbase will see this thread.

Can anyone confirm to what extent season tickets are sold out on Westfield Corner?

To me it looks like very few seats are available. That alone indicates the likely demand to extent ST availability up there. This is the availability showing for our game v Boro, which has only just gone on sale:

I was gong up to the blut for this game, however I won’t be gong to another game now due to it being a Tuesday night, I’ve used holidays for night games previously but for Burton Albion that’s a no..

If we are going to cancel Saturday games two days before, to then play them on Tuesdays I’ll be rethinking my season ticket purchase... maybe I’m an old fart from the 70s who remembers the orange balls and people shovelling snow off the pitches, maybe I’m out of touch with “elf n safety” or other excuses for watering the strength of the common man down, dunno, but I’m royally cheesed off with the lack of 3pm kick offs on a Saturday at this point in time..

Burton wouldn’t set the pulses racing I know, and sadly they aren’t a certain three points (nobody is), but it was a chance for a day in pub with mates which would help create the atmosphere that I’m certain you’ll all be missing on Tuesday night when this drab fixture will be played now.. you know what they’ll come for, and you know what they might snatch.. we will need a hatful or it’ll be very quiet.

This thread (and the blut, which I planned to support) was about building atmosphere, it wasn’t an accident that Burton was chose was it, now it’s a Tuesday for all the good will in the world i somehow feel it’s a wasted excersise

As a side issue, I’d like to see the players instead of the back of someone’s head, so regardless of atmosphere I’m voting yes, cause I think it’s one of the best views in the ground having sat there before .

Burton was an ideal game. As was Bristol City, as was Bolton. But as with those two, something has sabotaged this one as well. Yet if it had gone ahead on Saturday I think it would've been worse than it will be on Tuesday. No one could sort tickets in the 3 days before the game and the attendance would've been poor due to weather.

It's put us at a disadvantage but as long as people turn up and give it their best I'll be happy, whether it's 20 or 50. It's a no pressure, no lose situation for anyone who turns up.

I've been going up there for most games this season...mainly for the great view.
Can't comitt to S/T though,as work gets in the way, especially for midweek games.
Fair play for trying to get something going...hopefully you'll get some success from it...great effort on your part.
I do try and join in if any songs get going,so will try and join in when I can,but for the most part it's a bit quiet up there...a bit more noise is welcome.

I was probably moving my ticket to the Westfield anyway so the BLUT would be an improvement on that

I see no reason the club couldn't make this block available. It would be a good compromise.

BLUT is a good place to watch your footy. BUT. Last ST I had up there wi me dad we were relegated, 1st div mid 70's.
Whenever I've been a regular in that stand we've been relegated . 2006-7 and to the pub league and missing out on promotions in following seasons. Therefore I can expect an invite to "STAY THE ***K AWAY !". Still a great place to watch the match though.
Up the Blades.

Westfield upper used to be quite sparse, the Mini season ticket put and end to that. now quite full. The other problem we have up in the Westfield and would imagine for anybody going in the BLUT for next season is the cup games. For the Preston game i had to move into the South stand and was told you can't book my seat for said cup games because if the 25% - 30% away ticket allocation rule.

There's no doubt that season ticket availability here would attract significantly more than have turned up for the individual matches this season.

I think we'd get 50 in the vocal area as an absolute minimum. And that'd be a great start.

(Skillful bump)

Bump / generic BLUT words.
