how about len de goey, barry butlin..viv busby.. there are loads from the haslam era

There certainly was a load of rubbish in that era, not least Andy Keely, but I'd still agree with an earlier poster who reckoned it was Terry Curran. I just could never get that image out of my head of him standing in front of us on Boxing Day, 1979 celebrating his (3rd?) goal. Nasty piece of work that bloke...

I remember being very glad to get shot of Jonathon Hunt and James Thomas at the time.

Curtis Woodhouse - Always liked him but felt he stayed to long and we did very well to sell him on for a million plus Peter Ndlovu

No ey! (as i'm sure i've stated before) Owd Peattie was my lecturer at college.

Was he really THAT bad?

although he would always mention how Deane was a donkey :D To which i would always laugh off and refer to his 100+ goals for the blades

We bought him as a double signing from Gretna (can't quite remember who the other one was) he only made 3 or 4 appearances before he went to Donnie I think. Looked pretty awful and totally out of his depth. We did have some really awful players during this spell though.

I was delighted to see us get £1 million plus each for Wayne Quinn and Andy Gray. Neither warranted half that.

At the time I was also happy to see the back of Don Hutchison, who remains one of the biggest disappointments re: expectation of players and what they ended up delivering.
