I think bash, didzy, sharp and McBurnie are good enough but we are judging players who are totally shot on confidence in a losing team. We need 4 decent signings of which Davies could be one before we know what we could achieve. This team were 9th in the prem 2 years ago and 2nd in the champ the year before. They arent that bad and tonight has to be a kick up the arse to get the players in we need and change the feeling sorry for ourselves attitude. We have a lot of time left in the season and a good manager.

Based on today’s game Egan should be on the list. He’s got away with the blame for too long. Robinson won more headers than he did tonight.

McGoldrick is good enough is he? He's been diabolical all season. Awful miss tonight and same at Swansea (flagged off but wasn't) hasn't created anything of note either.

We find ourselves with a lot of players who've been part of something great, a great journey, but the journey really ended two years ago. We've been clinging onto those players, fending off bids, giving contract extensions, hoping that the good times would go on forever.

We've added some new players, but very few of them have been a great success. Tonight's line up was Wilder's men, in a different formation and with tactics they don't seem able to carry out.

It feels like we should have gone for a clear out and rebuilt more over the summer, even if it meant transfer listing and accepting bids for players that we have fond memories of.

What worries me is look what happened down the road when they held on to their better players passed their peak.

Left with a load of unsaleable high earning dross, we're heading the same way!

We were having a meltdown a couple of seasons ago when W Ham where after Fleck, we would drive him there now!

Agree. He’s not good enough, especially aerially in a centre back pairing from what I’ve seen. Works well in a back 3. The old saying of you haven’t got 2 good enough at CB, play 3. That’s where we are. Egan was beaten easily in the air when they scored but it was adjudged a foul. (Offside anyway). We are also dreadful at defending corners / long throws - which is a worrying fact. Quality centre halves win most things in the key areas. E.g. mr maguire.

We have been hit by the double whammy of players we have loved having at the Lane hitting their personal ceilings and incoming players not delivering what was needed.

You have to run very fast just to stand still in the Prem and the above resulted in us not being able to do that. It's verging on madness to expect the same team to take us back.

Reinforcements please!
