I’ve often wondered how a new regime handles these situations. Do they take the opportunity to see the players in-person or simply respect the previous management team and perhaps watch some film and study the data? You’d think, for example, that they’ll want to see Marsh in-person and decide if he should go out on loan, so why not Ivo?

Imagine the redemption arc if Selles picks Grbic over Cooper and he completely bosses the league...

Either that or AI data shows we could play him as a partner for Cannon upfront and he wins the golden boot

You'd hope so. I imagine Del Geary's input will be crucial: who in the development squads have first-team potential?

If he was to ever make some dramatic success story out of his terrible time here, it'd have to be a story similar to Joelinton, which obviously as a GK is not going to happen.

I was quietly excited about Atleti's number 2 coming here and defended his awful first few games and said give him time. In my 32 years on this planet, I have not seen a worse goalkeeper and I shudder when I remember his time in the first team. He was chucked right in at the deep end due to the spat with Wes but he was simply not good enough. Cooper is the complete opposite type of keeper Grbic is. Grbic needs an unreal defence in front of him where his services aren't required often.

Be a waste to send him on loan, let Rizespor have him for 800k.
