I know it's only November, but who looks like getting the award this season? I don't think it's as cut and dried like the last few years.
For starters there's no Jags, but I'm sure a couple of the window lickers will still vote for him. Early on Geary was looking good, but injury has scuppered his chances. If Monty carries on improving he may be in with a shout, and Stead looks good on the occasions when he gets to play.

At the moment though there is only one obvious choice for it, and once again it looks like it will go to the man in the number 6 shirt. (Does anybody else think that it was no coincidence that Beattie got to wear the 6 shirt vacated by Jags?)

at the moment i would have to say beattie....basically because he's been putting the ball into the back of the net.

But if geary comes back and carries on the way he was then he would be in with a chance.

AND if Armstrong carries on the way he is i think he will be in with a shout.

Id say Beattie too, his goals have kept us out of the sh*t basically(well i know we aren't in the best of positions).

Armstrong has been good for the past couple of months in his new center-mid role. You have also got to praise Cahill to, what a defender!

Beattie at the minute because he's winning us matches and scoring goals.

Geary would be in with a shout if he wasn't injured, Armstrong has been quailty this season to say he's played in centre midfield.

Cahill has been awesome since his loan move but he will only be in with a shout if he stays all season.

At the minute i'd have to say Beattie, not that his performances have set the world alight, but he has been banging them in on a regular basis and anyone who is top scorer in a division deserves the player of season. However it could be a tight one if we can keep Cahill for the rest of the season
