Play off final

I think my bladey instincts want to see them suffer. Lowest ever points total would be a fantastic result! The only reason i think they will struggle is that they dont have much of a footballing identity. They will park the bus and look to counter but i dont think they are good enough for that to work in the prem, certainly not a patch on us or leeds when we both went up. Good champ team but prem is a different beast.
The team they had out there today was half not theirs, they need to spend a fortune just to stand still, be amazed if they don't finish rock bottom

Can't lie, this one really stings.

I can honestly take or leave the Prem, for reasons you all probably understand. I just really wanted this for our players, they have been absolutely magnificent all season. Good, honest bunch who have made me enjoy going to games again after a couple of miserable seasons.

What happened yesterday just made me feel sick. Cannot believe it still. It's either total incompetence or outright corruption, no inbetween. Expect a flimsy excuse from the PGMOL as for why they got it right....when everyone who has ever watched a game of football knows they were both stonewall.

Still, hope Jon fucking Moss had a wonderful farewell game!! Might pop into to his little record shop in Headingley this week (that's right, the prick owns a shop in Lxxds flogging Lxxds Utd merch).

Reminded me of our play off final against Burnley. The big difference is that they now have VAR to supposedly correct big errors on penalty decisions.

Yeah, but don’t you know that Forest used to be good a long long time ago, so they deserve to go up to be fair (regardless of what happens on the pitch)

So you are accusing the ref and VAR of being cheats.
That's a big statement to make.
How they missed the 2nd
incident is rediculous but not corrupt.
VAR is not used properly,if the refs view is not clear then the VAR should automatically kick in.
If the ref saw it clearly then he is partially blind and he shouldn't be officiating the Hudders player was clearly fouled by Lowe.
VAR is there to get these decisions right ! Got this one 100% wrong.

Just looking at the rules of VAR, and it seems that the referee can choose to ignore the VAR panel's request to look at an incident. "In most cases the ref will ask VAR to review an incident he is unsure of. VAR can also recommend to the referee that it should be looked at. The referee can choose whether to take their advice or ignore it.". The ref always has the final say.

Not sure if the VAR panel recommended that they review the second penalty shout, but seeing the TV pictures you can't imagine that they didn't - which means Moss must have overruled the panel's request for a review.

In theory, the VAR panel doesn't have to be bent - only the ref.

And ... they were managed by Brian Clough. Just in case you forgot.

Their European Cup successes are closer to World War II than they are to today.

I think they are selling themselves short. Forest's 1-0 victory in a poor Play Off final isn't just one of the greatest moments in the history of sport. It's one of the greatest moments in human history. The moon landing was nothing compared to this.

I reckon Moss didn't want to bow out with a controversial decision and by doing so made a fool of himself and robbed Hudders of a possible premiership place.
They must be seething at that no decision, I think Moss comes from West Yorkshire.
That also could be a reason for not giving it ! Not wanting to look biased in favour of Hudders.
I remember a few years ago ( 1st division) we played Walsall at Bramall lane , the ref was from South yorkshire. Walsall beat us after many controversial decisions !
Walsall beat us 3 times that season.
Not saying refs are bent but it does leave them wide open to being accused.
Why do they put refs in this position! Refs have a tough job with the pace and antics of modern day players! This just adds to the pressure in my opinion.

The thing with Forest is that they were fuck all before Clough and have been fuck all since. Similar but not the same with Leeds and the Revie era - the difference being that Leeds won the Championship in the early 90s and had that unsustainable Ridsdale period (late 90s to early 2000s) that nearly bankrupted them. They are clearly beneath even the likes of Everton, Blackburn etc etc in terms of consistent historical success. In English football prior to the 60s (arguably later) by far the biggest trophy to win was the FA Cup. If you read the words of Shankly, the FA Cup was the goal. It was also Clough's biggest regret that he never won it. The resumes of the two clubs in that competition prior to their great periods tells its own story. Of course much mirth is being made at the Scousers as they never won the league or the Champions League instead of the the smaller competitions this season, but this hierarchy is a relatively modern phenomenon, a revisionism. All in all, the notion that these two clubs are "back where they belong" has scant basis in historical fact.

I just pray they take Derby Cunty's crown of 'shittest PL team'. Week after week of thrashings, and I mean '0-3 is a decent result for them' thrashings. Cooper sacked by December and Allardyce drafted in to desperately, unsuccessfully shore up a fast sinking vessel. 5 point finish. GS = 9, GC = 91. Final day attendance 13000, including 5000 away fans.

Mull of Kintyre, my fucking genitals.

Yes, Mull of Kintyre. A paean to a place in the Southwest of Scotland before a home game in West Bridgford, England, with no lyrical changes to make it relevant to their club. My thought when I first heard it there was "what the fuck?!". Maybe I betray my age but I always hated these cunts, even more so than Leeds.

All they have changed is 'Trent' for 'sea'.

Why not just get some fucking bagpipes you heathen, cheating shitheads?

Paul Tierney is absolutely the worst referee I can recall ever making it to the Premier League. The bloke is consistently woeful.

You expect refs to have the odd game where they’re poor, their only human. But this bloke is absolutely atrocious.

He doesnt have the balls to make the big decisions and every time he’s on VAR he may as well not fucking be there. The bloke is taking the complete piss.
There was one as bad as him, Mike Riley guess what he's in charge of🤔

I think you will find Wendy taking over 3k to an away match is without question the greatest moment in human history...

I don't want to be in the position of defending Forest, but it's not quite true that Forest were nothing prior to Clough. In the 60's they were in the top flight with attendances ranging between the low 20,000's to the low 30,000's which at the time was very good. They won the cup final in 59.

That first pen possibility was not stonewall in my view, I'd have been very disappointed had that gone against us. The second is a pen and they were very lucky to get away with that.

I share your frustration in Forest going up and us not, it was particularly hard to see them win and to hear the media celebrate with them, but such is life. Whether they stay up or go down, I don't really care, I'd rather they come down but at the same time sadly they'll come back very strong I would have thought.

What's so frustrating is in any other job if you'd had cost someone £120m purely due to incompetence you'd never work in that industry again. I can forgive Moss to some extent. He's past it, can't keep up with play and missed things. He wasn't fit to be ref in the first place and it's not his fault they gave him the game.

Tierney has no excuse though and he's made the officiating in this country look a complete sham. I don't think he was biased, I just think he was trying to protect his new boss. The fact that everyone in football outside of Clickbait Jordon is openly laughing at the decisions and now ridiculing the officiating in this country should he enough to see him sacked on the spot. Instead he will be in the top flight again next season. It stinks.

I think you got shafted on that second penalty call. Jon Moss is dodgy as fuck along with a number of other refs.

Jon Moss is a bumbling fool- the Terriers got well and truly screwed not by that idiot but by VAR-

As Terrier said both stone wall- so what were they doing- its not even in doubt- the result was manipulated- it stinks.

Everybody who was watching that game said' What the fuck is going on with 'VAR'

Feel sory for you Terrier- you was well and truly ROBBED- and on a side note - please can we buy all of your midfield.

No way is Obrien here next season sadly😕

Maybe not nothing, but they were by no means a heavyweight or even middleweight. The whole Forest illusion is post Clough. That is the vast majority of their history we are talking about, in which they were nothing special to say the least. This is best illustrated in their lack of FA Cup successes when that was the big prize. The notion that they are "back where they belong" is laughable.

Forest's attendances for a club with a much smaller neighbour aren't that impressive imo. They are a club that was lucky to have the greatest manager of all time. Before and after that event they were pretty non descript.

I wasn't around during the Clough era so the only memory I have of Forest when I was growing up is I saw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer come on against them as a sub and score 4 goals in the last 15 minutes of a match, as a young boy that taught me that Forest were crap.
