The stupid thing is that there is every chance the ref gives one of the penalties, if he doesn't have in the back of his mind that VAR is there to fall back on. VAR really is poisonous for the game.

The only mildly amusing thing is the modern or younger generation of Football fans really don't see the likes of Forest, Wendy etc as 'big clubs that should be in the Prem'. Many of them don't even know or care that Forest won two European cups.

Like many young fans don't remember Wendy being in the PL through most of the 90s, all they know is them flitting between the Championship and League One. Time has moved on, it's only the highly deluded elements of their fanbase and those same media pundits, that are still stuck in a past that was over two decades ago.

Unfortunately the duffers who hold power in the game in this country still see Forest through sepia tinted spectacles & desperately wanted them in the top flight & with VAR they had exactly the selective, detatched, anonymous entity that they created for just this situation. Bent as fuck !!!!

Great point to be fair, I just cannot believe for a game with such a big prize, that VAR didn't consult for the second penalty shout. What's the point in it if you're not going to use it. Unless they never intended to use it like you say!

I get all the points about the two "penalties" But Huddersfield were terrible Forest were terrible but as well but had a bit of luck No chance they will stay up

VAR just gives power to somebody miles away to decide the outcome of games with no pressure & also allows the on pitch officials to just shrug & point to their earpiece as if to say “ Not my decision pal”. Absolute corrupt bollocks. And many fans actually wanted this & believed it would sort of level the playing field 🙄

It's allowed premier League refs to not make decisions, can see it in cup games where there's No car, even the better prem refs seem uncomfortable not having the safety net

VAR itself really isnt the issue. Its the arrogant bellends in charge of it.

That's Forest off the playing list for the next two seasons. Next season, then the 23/24 season after we go up and they come down.

That was VAR at its absolute worst. The first OK dubious the lad made it too theatrical. But the second was nailed on. VAR like this is sinister- the results are being manipulated.

You have to feel sorry for Hudders- they were blatantly ROBBED.

All Forest this Forest that- no talk of the disgraceful decisions- it stinks.

ON another point- lets hope Steve Cooper takes MCB we get Grabban.

Can't imagine how Huddersfield fans feel right now. Lost out on promotion purely down to the awful standard of our officials.

Stinks mate.

With VAR it's unforgivable.

I've laughed when some have talked about corruption in the past but incompetence and mistakes have a limit.

He got zero criticism for doing nothing when he watched our goal at Villa cross the line 'inprecedented situation'.

Today there is absolutely no justification for not telling Moss that both were obvious errors and clear penalties.

If this had been against Liverpool last night we wouldn't hear the end of it. If t was in the PL and it went against the bigger clubs, the ref would he demoted at least.

They make me want to throw up.

My new boss is a Forest fan too so im going to have to try and be nice about it through gritted teeth tomorrow when I'm absolutely seething that those arseholes are going up.

If their season stinks half as bad as the last one we had at that level, I'll be happy.

Paul Tierney is absolutely the worst referee I can recall ever making it to the Premier League. The bloke is consistently woeful.

You expect refs to have the odd game where they’re poor, their only human. But this bloke is absolutely atrocious.

He doesnt have the balls to make the big decisions and every time he’s on VAR he may as well not fucking be there. The bloke is taking the complete piss.

There whole season has come down to 2 penalty decisions. Honestly cannot believe how he’s not given them.

Two nailed - on pens not given, Jon Moss-overweight useless twat. What's the point of VAR if it can't spot these two pens.?
Didn't hear all the commentary cos. I tend to switch it down, they talk so much bollocks, but somebody said ."..it (Moss's decision) will only get overturned if its obviously wrong." Well it was bleedin' obvious.
Jesus , they - Forest , will get battered next year in Prem - I hope.

It shows how inept the VAR officials are when every one of the four pundits would have given the first as a penalty, ( I thought the second more obvious )
VAR is spoiling the game and supporters will soon vote with their feet and no longer watch as it is not the game I was brought up with, to a sleight extent I was not too disappointed not to go up as at least we have no VAR in the championship. The more you look and assess some of the decisions the more it gives rise to opinions of corruption throughout the game.
Will Forest pull more sky viewers than Huddersfield ?
