Plans to generate an atmosphere at an empty lane?

I would also 100% tear up at it. If they just did that off their own backs I'd start working on the 10m wide bronze statue of the entire squad the next day.
Bronze BRONZE the statue will be made from gold covered in gems topped with the crown jewels

Could we all just send our pets? Finally, cats, dogs, hamsters, marmosets, Shetland ponies and komodo dragons can be included in the attendance figures
Only if they can sing or are strapped with a device that allows you to sing.. I heard some Muslim guy is doing some great work with crows in the area, though I do hear he might be a binned atm 🙄

It might look good on tv if the club could dig out the large flags they have out of storage and place them over the seats on the Kop and John street as well as inviting fans to bring their flags down for display also if they have the appropriate safety certification. Much better than cardboard cut outs of fans me thinks?

Excellent idea the flags, not on the seats but hung from the stand roofs to act as a baffle against the echo that will inevitably occur making the games sound like training sessions.
Even a combination of cut out figures and flags to lessen the echo and give the stadium a sense of occupancy.
My idea would be, first 5 rows cut outs, or more depending on how many can be sold to fans. Behind that, no more than one row behind, a wall of flags, seats to roof, made up of as previously stated. Old battle flags that have seen service over the years and at grounds around the country. Any area not covered by the historical flags to be covered by newly bought huge curtain like flags containing images of all Blades history.
What the club needs is someone who is a stage designer or such, could be another BDTBL first.

Won't add to the atmosphere but I'd love to see the players and staff all link arms before the kick-off and sing the GCB for us as we can't be there to do it. Might not make a difference to the result but it would mean a lot to us, surely?
UTB
Sure it would make the opposition think what have these people got that we haven't, set them back on their heels if done immediately before KO.
See it now, lined up arms linked, facing SS cameras giving it there all. UTB.

That would look absolutely ridiculous.

Shirts over the seats looks better than cardboard cutouts from what I've seen the Bundesliga do, it looks more interesting, and moves a little with the wind, and it's less wasteful/cheaper as all the shirts already exist.

Send in a shirt scheme? Placed on the front rows of the stands.

It's not about what it looks like, but what effect it MAY have, my thinking.
The idea was mooted by someone else, saying it would be nice if the players did it for the absent fans, I concur with the thought.
Unusual times bring unusual events
It would have been better if you could have explained why you think like you do, after making such a acerbic statement.

Do we have to do what others do, whilst it seems OK and far better than empty seats, lets have some originality.

Sorry mate, wasn’t intentionally rude had a few beers last night and elaborating wasn’t on the cards.

I personally just find things like this a bit hollow and to be honest a bit naff. I’d rather they just let the footy speak than something like the players singing a song.

Hope you’re well and safe. UTB

I am well my friend, hoping you are the same.
I did wallow on a bit, just getting rid of the lock down frustrations, let my thought ramble on too much. Dead right, what happens over the white line is the main issue.
Thinking, if the pets scheme is adopted, how will you get yours to the Lane, hardly get it on the bus.

Quite right. Let’s just focus on cardboard cutouts for the away end, and populate it with a veritable “chamber of horrors” from the Wilder Era to help motivate the team to crush the opposition. Cutouts should include: Garth Crooks & Steve Nicol (pundit attire version), a few Coventry fans with whistles in their mouths, Angus Gunn & floor-to-floor midfielder (©️ Roygbiv) James Maddison in their Norwich kits, Pontus Jansson in Leeds kit, the entire 2016/17 Walsall squad, Mike McCarthy...

Thats not a bad idea send old shirts in , then donate them to poverty all over the World , when the virus is done , we can then see them in War-zones famines disasters riots etc insteasd of fuckin Man Utd shirts .🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯 one size fits all .

All right you beautiful bunch of Blades now we know we have a return to football coming, we have time to think of how the fans can support the guys in an empty stadium whilst not getting screwed by the old fuzz, heck even all the exiled Blades like me could hopefully join in.

I'm sure we have plenty of fantastic minds within the fine ranks here, so who has any ideas?

I'm thinking of a combination of loud speakers plugged in to a mass phone call could work, or we could all get carrier pigeons to transport phones to the lane, the pigeons could take up the stands and we could all cheer through the phone.
We could just gather on mass outside the ground......

What?

This has to be the best idea - Different Zoom meetings for various sections of the ground. All free to join.

This will be popular right up to the moment in the first round of games when a Newcastle fan drops his trousers in front of his camera, captured on the live coverage. Restart ruined.

I'm arranging a few coaches for fans to turn up outside the grounds to sing GCB before each half.

£100pp packages available, includes complimentary can of your choice and ham/cheese sandwiches.
Does the coach take us back home after the first GCB to watch it on telly, then back to the away ground to sing it before the second half? If so, I'll have 2 please.

They could just put my cunt of a neighbour on the Kop on his own, he easily makes enough noise, he smokes weed and looks stupid, fill the rest with cardboard cut outs and you'd never know the difference.

But I have heard on the grape vine that there has been an accident concerning his artificial limb which he apparently keeps in the garage when at home, his wife has inadvertently reversed her car over it and it is at present awaiting repaires.

Nah, Millwall have it.

Club should invest in a zoom server farm, every season ticket holder supporter gets their own unique zoom code and dial in. All fans dialing in fed through on their own channel into a mixer which is then mixed and fed through the existing PA system.

Could make all the difference in our remaining home games
