I'd say we played as well we needed to but that was a walk in the park for us relative to the other games we've had of late. No complaints about United but the only team I've seen that was worse than today's opposition was Bolton. Sunderland reminded me of us at our worst. Came out, didn't look sharp enough, didn't look like they wanted to win, set up to hope to keep it tight, went 1-0 down and they might as well have conceded then because they had no intention of scoring a goal never mind the means.

Did you watch them today? They did none of those things. Misplaced passes weren't just inches out, usually yards out.

WHAT? Come on man - they might have some potentially decent players but today they were the worst ‘side’ I’ve seen at the Lane all season. Including the Dingles.

Offered very little. Poor passing. No threat. Diving at every opportunity. No Pashun.

It was pretty abject from them and not one shot on goal. It's a long way to come on Boxing Day to see such a limp display.

Fair play to the Blades though, we were excellent today. Duffy ran rings round them and special mention to Lundstram who was outstanding again. He's looking far more comfortable now he's got a few games under his belt. Took his goal really well, just passed it in the corner.

Um, the correct term is 'hoist with your own petard', a petard being an explosive device used to blow holes in doors and walls.
