Phasing SUTV Live Stream

Does anyone know if you can pause the SUTV live stream and return to it much later - like 60 or 90 mins later - and watch “as live”?
For the QPR match on the evening of Monday 13th I would have just enough time to set the stream off and running at Kick Off, but am then obligated to attend a Xmas “thing” with my wife, which will last about 60 - 90 mins.
So was wondering if I could pause it and then just click “play” when I came back?
I know it is on Sky but I won’t be able to record it and Sky Go doesn’t let you pause live sport I believe?
Nor is the “thing” I am going to with my wife conducive to surreptitious watching on my ‘phone
So any info on the above query gratefully received

How do you watch Sky ? As in what Sub as I thought for Sky Go you needed a Sky sub anyway ? Why dont you just pause the sky channel ?

I have a Sky subscription but I will be 250 miles away from my home at the time of the match (and not home for several days after that) so can’t pause the Sky Channel on the TV. Hence Sky Go would be the only option but you can’t pause that I think

i feared that would be the case (think I have experienced what you have experienced in the past as well. Leads to a related question is that is the case (and one that may have been asked before):
How quickly does the Full Match get posted on SUTV after tut final whistle?
I saw think the Bristol City match (which I was at) got posted later the same day, so certainly within 9 hours or so.
If I felt that was going to be the case I could do a “Likely Lads” (showing my age ) and try and avoid the result until such time as it is available.
Given it is a night match a chunk of that period would coincide with me being asleep which would help (but might also mean the match is not available until later the next day).
Anyone have any experience of when a night match posts on SUTV ? Noon the next day? Later?

You can record to your device with Sky Go.

You can record a live stream on your PC with OBS. You can also schedule a time I believe. However when I've tried it sometimes it works but sometimes the stream gets stuck.

No. When you go into channel guide so long as you have right sub you have option to record on box or device. You can also pause on device if watching live.

You are obligated to go to a xmas thing with your wife...you don't really want to go but she insists...You need your mobile phone yes of course you do...But your wife can do without hers for the evening seeing your helping her out..So..get her mobile phone strategically place it in front of the live stream and record the match on the phone..tell her If she can't do that for you tell her you can't go. Just a suggestion..Give and take...LOL
Then when you get home mirror it to your large screen direct from the phone Job done

You probably should have explained this in the OP and what device you were watching it on but you havent explained why you cant just record it in the first place ?

As suggested use something like OBS to record your screen, set it going and watch it when you get back. Jobs a good un.

‘Develop’ a new and continuous cough and then claim not to be able to taste anything.

After 40+ years of marriage (she was a child bride ) Mrs 2CB is wise to my ways (and also has an encyclopaedic knowledge of SUFC fixtures which would further enhance suspicions). She has suggested that maybe I don’t have to go to the “thing” with her, but I feel that fall into the category of “does my bum look big in this? (I.e there is no correct answer).
Any snow forecast for a week on Monday ?
