People calling for wilder to go…

We wouldn't be having this discussion if Soutter and Arblaster had stayed fit .
I can see the others points of view about not spending the Cannon money on a good centre half and they have a point but overall i think the guy;s done brilliant to get 88 points with 3 games to go.
This agree 100%

He’s silenced the doubters today.

He’s right royally fucked our season over. He’s played Robinson for weeks when he’s been a complete liability. He had a replacement but he’ll not play him over captain fucking courageous.

He’s played Brewster in whatever position he can to shoehorn him into the side to show he was worth what he paid for him. I sometimes think he devised the system just so he could stick him in, because in Gods name he isn’t a striker so a sort of midfielder he shall be.

Hes bought and played Cannon when all received wisdom is he doesn’t fit our system, and on all available evidence from seeing him in our strip is we don’t know what he is doing and neither does he. But he’s played him in vital games it seems just to “ get him a goal “ to kick start his season.

Wilder Ego every time over his beloved Blades. Like when he fucked Duffy off. Vindictive. Nobody bigger than Mr SUFC.

I’d like us to replace him simply because we will continue to play like this while ever he’s here.

We know he won’t look to develop or change what he does so how we play now, is how we will always play.

Should we get promoted it is a free hit for whoever is in charge really.

If we have another season in the Championship, we could just as easily be 10th with this style.

We’re in a bit of a crucial period for the club and I expect the new owners will want to spend a bit, as they normally do at the start of the reign. His track record with spending money is not good at all.

That said, huge credit goes to him for bouncing back after the Premier League season and getting us to within a shit of automatic promotion with a few games to go.

It was mind numbingly boring today.
Hamer's goal was good, but I think this was despite the "system" (do we have one?), rather than because of it.
There's supposed to be an element of entertainment around going to a football match, but in no way was I entertained, or even very engaged.
For big parts of the game it was hard to see which team was 3rd and which was 23rd.
We won. But it doesn't feel very exciting!

There’ll be some who want that, and they’ll want “proper” wards back in Fannie’s and Dick Wragg back in the boardroom.

If we do what we always did we’ll get what we always got
Fanny's was never a Wards pub but having a dead man as a director is a novel idea I quite like!

Easy to defend. He's our manager who knows a hell of a lot more about our players than you do.
Nah, we all know their his secret lurv children. According to your logic all the punters on here are talking shite then about Brewster and Robinson? There is too much agreement about them both for these fans/opinionaters to be wrong in my view.

But Robinson wades in and shows pashun, probably wound up by his manager, his football ability is secondary

Haha sorry I just plucked my favourite pub out of the air.

They have looked after me more than I can say

You really think that if we lost today we should have sacked Wilder and got in a new manager who doesn't know the club or the team? Just before the Burnley game? With autos still possible and if not, certain Play Off qualification?

If Wilder went I presume all his staff would go too and Cooper's team be brought in. Most fans would oppose the sacking. Don't you think that might cause a bit of disharmony in the dressing room?

I've watched the Blades since the late 70s and I can count the number of good managers we've had on one hand. Porterfield, Basset, Warnock and Wilder. During this time we've had about 15 poor managers too, most of whom were sacked.

Even if we don't go up this season I'm happy with Wilder. At least we're competitive and challenging for promotion, and not in another relegation struggle. And we did the double over the pigs. What more do

I can accept not getting promotion if we’re playing entertaining stuff but we’re not, it’s been boring and uninspiring all season which is why the reaction to the 3 defeats has been how it is. Should we not be doing the double over them lot with considerable ease too considering the budget difference, we made very hard work of it

There is no chance that we will be changing managers before the end of the season. None. You'd be laughed out of the room at any football club in the country if you suggested changing the manager at this stage.

No harm discussing it on a forum but let's just be clear it's not happening and probably with good reason.
Any team we come up against will know exactly how to beat us. Wilder is utterly clueless. Performances aren’t going to suddenly get better. Quite literally anybody else in charge and we suddenly have a better chance than we currently do. No ownership would have the balls to do it sadly.

Lose today and I’d like to see him fucked off for cooper, we’d actually have a chance in playoffs
It makes no difference if we get promotion or not wilder won't be here next season, personally I'd love to see us promoted but would not be looking forward to having our arses handed to us week in week out !
My head says pretty much the same about him being relieved of the job before the Play-offs but the players are used to him and will react better with him there !
Irrespective of what happens over the next (hopefully the next 6 wins before the end of may ) he's gone, he's now showing some of the little annoyances and grumpy reactions he had at the end of his first time in charge.
I just don't want him to destroy the love and respect he's earnt with the fans

FFS. Some people. I'm not a clapper, I'm not even a Wilder fan. But his team has averaged over 2 points a game so far this season. That's better than anyone in the country bar Liverpool, Leeds, Burnley & Birmingham. Yes, the football hasn't been great but considering the state we were in at the end of last season, to say he's fucked our season over is just nonsense.

Well it's all about opinions i suppose.
Thing is, if someone thinks Wilder should go they will not accept someone's view who thinks he should stay and vice versa.
I am in the "He should stay" band because of the way he sorted out the crap in the summer and the signings he made.

Fuck me Arblaster gets better as each week passes.

Thought he was Bladeyover-rated at the time, but even more so now.

He's a decent midfield prospect, but to hear some of the pro-Wilder whataboutery talk about him like he's Gerard, Lampard and Scholes rolled into one....

I get what you’re saying and I have my own criticisms of Wilder. If we don’t go up I would want a change this summer. I definitely wouldn’t go as far as you, though—I wouldn’t call him clueless.

It’s just all academic because no ownership would change horses at this stage. And I think there’s a good reason for that.

Really, really hope you are right about Wilder not being here next season !!!

You could be right. Started well and made the best of a bad job. Not been good since January

Mousinho at Portsmouth is a brilliant young coach, tactically astute.
What I would give to see him at the helm of Sheffield United!

Even though we managed a win today I would still like to see Wilder replaced. Can anybody really see this style of play getting a win at Wembley if we get there? I don't want another season of watching our players passing the ball around the opposition box and then back to Cooper.
You mean the style that battered Coventry? That will also fancy their chances at Wembley?

Boring football, scraping lucky results with players signed by others. I think this squad should be top two if they had a decent manager. We signed Holding in January as Soutar got injured. Where has he been until today?

Coventry are playing much better than us and scoring more goals. I accept we played well against them, but that is one of a handful of good performances this season.

I'd like to see him gone before the play-offs. Even best case scenario, can't trust him with £60m+ in summer. Our only chance to go up and stay up is to get a temporary in now, and attract a decent manager in summer.

He has become an embarrassment as a manager. From grumbling about a linesman eating a sandwich after a match last season, to two totally disrespectful and embarrassing performances and interviews after beating Sheffield Wednesday this season.
