You really think that if we lost today we should have sacked Wilder and got in a new manager who doesn't know the club or the team? Just before the Burnley game? With autos still possible and if not, certain Play Off qualification?
If Wilder went I presume all his staff would go too and Cooper's team be brought in. Most fans would oppose the sacking. Don't you think that might cause a bit of disharmony in the dressing room?
I've watched the Blades since the late 70s and I can count the number of good managers we've had on one hand. Porterfield, Basset, Warnock and Wilder. During this time we've had about 15 poor managers too, most of whom were sacked.
Even if we don't go up this season I'm happy with Wilder. At least we're competitive and challenging for promotion, and not in another relegation struggle. And we did the double over the pigs. What more do people want?
