Peck

He’s got to start with vini. Choudhury is an identical player to vini but with 50% less passion than him. Dropping O’Hare is criminal. Cannon is not the typical sufc player.

Really pleased for him. The players who can come through from the youth grades into the men’s team and play 90 minutes week in, week out and maintain a consistently high level of performance are the exceptions not the rule. Sydie needed a break big time and hopefully we’ll now start to see the best from him.
He's a different player to Choudhury. Peck is an attacking midfielder where Choudhury (and Vini) is defensive. I'd go with Peck and Vini and rotate Vini and Choudhury every game to keep them fresh. Rotate Peck and Davies for the same reason.

Central midfield is somewhere we tend to burn players out. With the personnel we've got now that shouldn't be an issue. To give us depth in the middle we should be looking to play one DM (Vini or Hamza), one box to box (Peck or Davies) and one CAM (O'Hare, Hamer or, dare I say it, Brewster) and share the minutes out based on form, workload, injuries and potential suspensions. All are more than decent for this level. We looked awful with two CDMs and a gulf between them and the strikers.

One of my favourite moments from the match on Saturday was in about the 87th minute when the ball went out of play and Peck went desperately scampering after it to try and take a quick throw. Wilder had to do the calm down gesture at him and gave him a look as if to say 'what the fuck are you on?' The kid's like Tigger and I love him.

Was excellent on Saturday. I still think its hugely understated how big a loss Arblaster has been to our midfield. His ability to carry the ball, turn under pressure and link with the forwards has been missed for a long time - Davies is about the closest we have to him but he's had his own fitness issues.

Peck is the next closest we have and whilst not as technically capable as Arblaster or Davies, he makes up for it in desire and commitment. Should start v Boro for me next to Vini.

Spot on.

Choudhury is an ideal away game player, we shouldn't need his industry and defensive capabilities at home. Peck earned his shirt, let him keep it.

But yeah, Arblaster's injury is when it turned from shoots of the potential for decent football to the horror show we watch daily now.

Some Boy this one. Is he tied down to a long contract? 100% he's getting noticed and enquiries are being made.

It's been a slog for him for the last few months. He's had to battle through games for pretty much 90 minutes every time, because he's been so badly needed. This took the edge off him quality wise. With the rest, he's consolidated all he's gained with the experience and come back with the quality too. If he starts maybe 3 in 4 games, hopefully he can maintain it

Stepped up a level toneyt. Was a hard lesson for him in the reverse fixture but tonight he was a level above their midfield. Take a bow lad 👏

This kid is some player.... You have to admit he was our best player tonight....
He was excellent tonight and the through ball was sublime.
He is learning when to release the ball and when to retain it, having given it away a few times early on.
If we can teach him to shoot he will be worth tens of millions !!
