What a find…..an Academy player in his 1st year….shows he’s an average Championship midfielder good enough to be a squad player

But tonight he’s been mighty impressive….upper Championship level.
We all hoped he’d make a good backup sub….but tonight he’s made a strong case to be a starter.

When I watched him up Boro this season my impression was he was way off what was required, the transformation is incredible.
Great engine, loves a tackle but the main improvement is his reading of the game.

Tonight was his best performance for us and he looked the best player on the park. For me has gone ahead of Arblaster in the pecking order. No offence to Ollie who has been unlucky with his injury but Peck has seized he chance and then some.

He is the EFLs breakout star this season

Fantastic performance from Peck tonight, capped off by an absolute peach of a through ball for BBD's goal. Looks like the rest has done him the world of good. Hopefully the management team see this too. He's a young lad with bags of skill and huge potential. Manage him right and we've got a hell of a player on our hands.

Why the need fly off the handle? Arblaster is undoubtedly a lovely footballer with huge potential. Sydie Peck has been incredible since coming into the team in Blasters absence. Peck also has an incredibly high ceiling in terms of progression. Why bleat on about Blaster being wank?

No way at that age he should be expected to play 90mins a week. Week in week out, in his first professional season.

I like him. He’s Come back refreshed and ready for the challenge provided by Davies and Hamza. Doesn’t always come off but he’s good with the little movements anticipation to get away from a player when receiving the ball - can tell he’s been at Arsenal when he was younger .

I highly doubt we'd be able to keep them both, but imagine an Arblaster and Peck playing for us for the majority of their carrer. Would be a credit to the academy

I've said a few times, he was the one academy talent I wanted us to get right, to avoid ballsing up any loans or blocking his route to the first team. He's been quality.

Hard to believe he's only 20. He's also a bit of a throwback in terms of the edge to his game. Plays like an experienced shithouse.

If I was being extremely picky, I'd like to see him anticipate and track runners a bit more defensively, and I'd like him to get a shot away more when attacking. But that will all come with time and experience. Superb.

He's a bit of a spark plug. Full of energy and he certainly doesn't lack confidence. I like that he's not shy of being vocal with his teammates even though he's one of the youngest and most inexperienced players in the squad.
He's still growing as a player and it still seems at times he needs to find the right balance between passion and smart decision making. But if he keeps his head in the right place, he'll have a great career.
