The desire he showed to get back and put that block in was outstanding. He wasn't slow at blocking the Wednesday player when he got in t block a certain goal.
Seriki's the one I hope is pushing for a place more and more. I really like Gilchrist but Seriki is such a threat on the ball and brings out the best in whoever's ahead of him. They were able to triple up on Rak-Sakyi in the first half. The future’s nothing but very bright with youngsters like them who play in matches like the derby, with any luck Brooks and One will earn their places before the season’s end.
Did you not see the potential goal saving tackle on the byline when we were on the back foot?I am so massively in the wrong here clearly! I thought he was poor, particularly defensively m! There was a few moments when I screamed ‘fucks sake Peck!’.
However sometimes you have to admit you’re in the minority
20 years old and replaces 20 year old Ollie Arblaster. Let that sink in.Time for another of my brags that i called this in the Summer and was roundly poked fun at by the hard of thinking round these parts!!
He'll be playing in the PL next season ..
It's not hyperbolic to say he changed the game. His ability to receive the ball in tight situations and dribble away was just what we needed. Thought first half we missed a Duffy, Ndiaye type and Peck came out and did just that.20 years old and replaces 20 year old Ollie Arblaster. Let that sink in.
He came on today and looked a level above he’s been in previous games. Given that Arblaster looked better than usual. It was a tough game to come into. Sidi Don’t care.
Class today. Stepped up the pace and just looked class. Hard to say he won’t make the national side
This was it, this was the moment. No fucking about. He's been learning shithousery from Robinson and RND. Really, really rate him. Great performance.First tackle peck put in on banana was quality. Then he shoulder barged him running back into position lol
Of a great number of posters on here, I think you post so much sense and honesty, from a place of experience. Your comments on Peck, today aren’t over the top. He’s a 20 year old lad coming up against one of league one/ lower championship best players of the last 15 years and bossed him. He stepped up the level in midfield as vini cleaned up behind him. It's not hyperbolic to say he changed the game. As we've said elsewhere, he's an absolute baller!
Thanks buddy. Like a stopped clock i occasionally get it right....Of a great number of posters on here, I think you post so much sense and honesty, from a place of experience. Peck was class and carried the ball so much better than anyone else.
Thanks buddy. Like a stopped clock i occasionally get it right....
He reminds me of Doyle two seasons ago. You can see there's a player in there, and what a difference he makes, he just needs game time to iron out the consistency.
The big issue is Arblaster and Sousa are playing so well! What an absolutely brilliant position for us to be in!
Said this very much a berge with bite the quick feet was excellent tooReminds me of a better Sander Berge
Love Peck and his attitude... but are we seriously comparing him to a player regularly staring for a team sat 7th in the premier league!?!Said this very much a berge with bite the quick feet was excellent too
What would you say the main differences are? I think they are similar, I just wondered what you saw
I knew Peck was going to come on and I'll admit that I was worried as it was a huge game and he was awful against Bristol midweek. Whatever happened after that in training during the week worked as he was great today. He still lacks composure on the ball but he certainly has potential to go on and have a career in the Championship for starters. He's young and he'll learn.
Yep, love thatGood question.
Blaster.....knows the defensive midfielder role better.
Runs into space calling for the ball off the defenders and plays it simple to other players around him keeping possession.
When he's on his game he's like a metronome setting the pace. He also anticipates opposition passes better.
Peck......probably more skilful and more physical too.....there's loads of potential there
plays with confidence but probably too much confidence because he tries more ambitious/ difficult passes, tries dribbling and more prone to losing possession, sometimes in dangerous areas. Think he's naturally more attack minded preferring to link with O'Hare and Hamer, instead of taking the ball off the defenders. Also don't think he sees danger as well as Arblaster.
However I love Pecks hunger and passion to succeed, at times plays like a fan and never intimidated, he clearly loves it here playing in this team.
In the defensive midieflder role prefer Blaster as he's more solid and consistent.
Peck isn't there yet but probably has more talent and you do sense he has a big future.
In conclusion we're lucky to have both as they both have a realistic chance of having a career at Premier league level.
The question is would promotion this season be a season too early for Peck, Seriki, One etc? Maybe also Burrows on that list. I think Arblaster and the way he plays, is already proven to some extent at Premier League.
