that's my guess until end of season - temporary charge with existing other management staff as they are.

He might get McBurnie playing - he shone for him at BarnsleyGreat appointment hopefully with a view to being made permanent. I guess we'll see many of the U23 squad being merged into the first team and if successful this will be a good grounding for next season. Hecky isn't dinosaur he's at least 10 years younger than Wilder and will understand the principle of working in tandem with a DOF and will give us every chance of a quick return to the top division.

Well he fact that Hecky isn't a dinasour, that's good. Oh and something about his age. I'm reminded of damming by faint praise that's all, nothing elseGreat appointment hopefully with a view to being made permanent. I assume that you want Hecky to be unsuccessful?

I think heckingbottom would be a very risky appointment only ever had success at one club with one set of players in a very specific set of circumstances.
His tenure at Hibs was very strange. Decent start when he came in mid season, buy quickly fell to bits. Filled the squad with shit League One/Two players in the summer and was sacked before the next Christmas.Great appointment hopefully with a view to being made permanent. I don’t mind hecky till the end of the season if wilder has gone as we won’t have much choice and can’t rush this decision.Correct - it would. But we have to make a choice some where along the lines.
As before - Hecky in temp charge until the summer - put feelers out now and purely as an example ie: John Terry and see who is interested.
Appoint a week after season ends.

As to who should replace him I’d be making every effort to prise cooper away from Swansea plays good football, works on a shoestring, has a good pedigree and contacts with England youth players, has a history of developing young talent and has got the best out of Brewster in the past.
If they don’t go up I think there’s a chance we could tempt him if we’re willing to offer him the parachute funds and I’d imagine us having brewster (given what he got out of him) would be an attraction.Cooper is a good shout - he'd be silly to leave now - and there's every chance they could go up.
Considering Swansea have settled their PL exit (eventually) they are in a position to make a push next season if they don't sneak up this season.
