We've got Trusty, Robinson & RND who can all play that position, RND can cover LB, we're supposed to be in for Harrison Burrows. That'd be 5 players for 2 positions. Can't imagine not getting a first choice LB/LWB in with RND's injury record

The only thing I know about him is he scored for Newcastle in a 3-3 draw with Man Utd in 2016. Only reason I know is it was the same night we drew 3-3 at Wigan under Atkins. Game was rearranged from Boxing Day cause it got rained off. 2 goals for Billy and 1 for Matt Done if my memory serves me still. Went to that match and we (unsurprisingly - Atkins was in charge) were absolutely garbage

I’ve watched him a lot as my wife is a Geordie fan. Always liked him … very solid defender… does the simple stuff well (think Baldock). Ok going forward but not a flying wing back. Has looked good against a lot of very good PL players and at 32 brings great experience. Like Matt Ritchie he’s also a reliable 100%er.

Never been very good? Other than being an ultra reliable defender in a Premier League team … and Championship promotion side … then falling down the pecking order a bit when they became the richest club in the world. I think he might just manage to give us a decent option on the left.
