Yeah, but the fact he is even getting regular starts at a level far higher than we were at the time he moved, and are still now, means he must have something about him.

No, they were absolutely atrocious. DCL was being used as a lone striker with Rooney and Sigurrdsssonnn supposedly playing off him. They may have changed it around at half time but I was starting to lose interest. It was not a role that suited him. He got bullied and couldn't hold the ball up.

Aye. Just important that we take games like that in context, especially for a (relatively) young lad.

There's obviously something there for the boy - he was rated here; rated by the England Youth setup; and clearly rated by Everton.

I meant generally important, no matter who we happen to be discussing.

But for me, personally, as he came through our Academy he'll always be at least partly a Blade, and I'll look out for progress on his career, much as i do Kyle Walker and one or two others.
