I'm struggling to think of anything he brings to the team, he was almost totally anonymous tonight. He's clearly a good player from his past record, and Clough knows him, so I have no idea why he's been so infective for us.

Agree totally with OP. Watch the game back and count the number of lazy passes. Not just giving the ball away, but playing the ball a yard behind the target player when under no pressure at all. Looks slow and cumbersome to me and went missing 2nd half.

He was badly injured and is another one (like Wallace) who may or may not be the player he once was. He isn't right now- time will tell, but we are running out of it.

His movement has been completely compromised by the serious injury he had, he just cannot move in a natural fashion, that's not a fitness issue, he is as match fit as he is going to get. He is finished as footballer at any level above lower League one and League two.

I would feel sorry for him as he was a decnt player at Preston but we are not in the position to pay thousands of pounds a week to passengers.

He was good tonight. Maybe a couple stray passes, and not being able to jump were his flaws. He needs Basham in midfield though I think it's obvious we can't play him at the back at this moment.

Probably the best game for Coutts tonight. I have said before, when I told some Preston fans that we were signing him, they were gutted, they loved him, and a Derby fan who goes in our local boozer, always asks how he has played because they loved him, but said he was never the same after a very bad injury.

Foulkes Jr Sr thinks he had a great game. Occasionally does something really poor and if you look for that you'll find it, but look at the whole player for the whole game.
can you ask Foulkes senior to point him out to me at the next game.. he is so ineffectual that i have to have him pointed out. a bit like his mate Holt

Barring his mobility he is a top of league 1 player, but needs someone like basham at the side of him to let him play. I don't rate holt at all despite his goals he offers nothing, and scougall is the same except he doesn't score either. Cm for me next season is coutts basham Wallace/new signing if not fit.

I didn't think he had a bad game, he's just careless at times. He needs legs alongside him (bash and scougs or another)

Still would like to know how Holt gets a free ride. He was fucking pointless last nightt.

Coutts, scapegoat again as per. Anyone can find the bad in a player if their looking for it. I like him and I think he does the little moves that aren't easily seen but open up the play, then he does a dodgy pass and all I hear around me is "fucking Coutts" he did a well smart back heel that opened up the play that wasn't even spotted by the knockers, they are only looking for him to do a bad pass, you can see all the favourites as well as in Super Murphy or Super Bash fuck up now and again if you look for it!!!.... No one this season has been a Ronaldo for us that's why we are where we are, it isn't just Coutts..............

Offers nothing. Like playing with 9 men with him and Holt and at least Holt chips in with a goal ever now and then.

Hes a decent footballer ,just doesn't do enough ,hopefully that will come as he gets fitter and more confident ,but he disappeared with Holt for long periods last night.

He is one of the worst midfielders i have seen play for the Blades and that is giving it some.

He is that bad i actually miss watching Michael Doyle.
