Would you blame him, he's shown he can still do it. Its a pity the rest of the team have no bottle whatsoever, as I've said at 1-3 it should have been over! Its called game management
No not at all
Think he's got moves lined up to the MLS and couldn't blame him for wanting to get out of this set up with this bunch of wankers

What a signing he's turned out to be. I think we may struggle to keep him in Jan. Hopefully he shows some loyalty, I have a feeling he will.

Doubtful that he’ll be here for much longer, not sure if he sees other players being up to his standard and that the team can achieve something.

Regardless of whether he stays or goes, he has shown he still has it at this level if he stays fit.

He will now have seen Wilder's limitations and the true quality of our squad.

He could do so much better with a move away and, to be fair, he's done a great job of proving he's still got the eye for a goal. His first yesterday was a peach of a goal

He mentioned that not moving his family was one of the major considerations when he decided to sign for us. If he is settled in the area, even Umerica might not be enough to lure him away, provided we offer him a good contract. A few bad results won't change his thinking one way or the other.
Especially when he is making himself No.1 striker which he might not be elsewhere.

A couple of threads about Bamford/his contract situation with us, on the Boro board at the moment:

I love him and think we will keep him. For a player of his age and history, a bit of stability at a local team where he is currently thriving with a manager who backs him and plays to his strengths will be worth more than the salary bump he might get elsewhere.

He will go elsewhere, why would anyone want to join this set of spineless tosser's? Unless COH throw a shed load of £££'s at him he's gone he has proven he still has it.

He is quality and if we ever do put a run together (looking more unlikely but not impossible) he could be the goalscorer weve been looking for since Billy moved on.

I cannot see him being here after January especially after yesterday, I think he might get one or two offers from sides nearer the top of the division.

I think Coventry could come calling again. He was training with them, Lampard wanted him and PB was clearly up for it too

He joined us already in November, when we were in an even worse league position. By your logic, teams who have bad results would never sign decent players.

The Wilder who persuaded him to come to the club?
The two aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive. Plenty of folks have been sweet talked into a job to discover it wasn’t what was sold to them. I’m not saying that’s the case here but it certainly happens, in football as in all walks of life.

Not knocking the fella at all, but is he capable of 90 minutes still? Or are his substitutions "tactical". There were a fair few chances when he went off that I thought he'd have smashed in.
