Its been a while since I last went.
Any tips for places to park????

Last time I parked in Morrisons at Salford and then got the tram. Not sure If I can do that now.

Any advice welcome.

There are loads of small private car parks, or some bits near the cricket ground.

Be advised that Man City are have a open top bus parade on the same day. Not sure what time though. Back on topic though, I'd also like to know where I could park.

I'm hoping I can work in our Stockport branch on Monday otherwise I might struggle to get there for kick off

There might be a bus parked in front of George Long's goal as well.

C'mon you youff

It's difficult to park around the ground due to parking restrictions but plenty of scallies offering parking spaces (can be up to £10). Best bet is get on google maps and search for kings road stretford and it's about 15 min walk from there.

£5 will usually get you a car-parking space near the Cricket Ground. If you're adventurous, park at Altrincham or Sale and get the tram in - it'll save you loads of hassle on traffic and you can have a beer before you get there. You could also go that way if you were getting the train over - changing at Stockport - if you wanted to avoid the city centre.

If you don't mind a walk, Chorlton is about 20-25 minutes walk from the ground and has some great pubs - you'll probably be able to park on a side-street.

A notice on the Manchester Metro this am says that services will be disrupted around Piccadilly between 5pm and 7pm.

I didn't make a special journey to find out by the way, I was in the area anyway.

Comfirmed on gmpte website. Looks like a 5 minute walk to Mosley Street stop for the outward bound leg.

Have you considered the train from Hudds Kenneth?

Not with tom larry and curtis in tow no

You can park in the Imperial War Museum on Salford Quays - about a 10 min walk away - for £5.

If ever I've taken the car to OT I've parked somewhere called the quadrant, close to the cricket ground. Street parking so free, 15 minute walk to wet dream central, sorry Old Trafford.
