It is with an option to buy for 8 million which would be a bargain if he can put his injury woes to bed.

Surprising if there is no option to buy. As promising a signing as it is, I cannot see him immediately disrupting the back 3 so that wouldn't benefit Leverkusen in terms of developing him as a player.

My only guess is Leverkusen have signed another CB on loan and if that goes well they'll then look to negotiate a permanent transfer for Retsos.

Any January loan from abroad has to be permanent or a loan with the option to buy.

This didn’t feel right when I read it, the below from the beeb seems to confirm this isn’t a rule for foreign loans in January.

Manchester United have signed striker Odion Ighalo from Shanghai Shenhua on loan until the end of the season.

Someone wrote that he might be cover for Bash who's now 32, but from what we hear of Bash in training and see on the pitch he's the fittest player at the club, although I suspect Mousset would beat him over 100 yards. Bash is a physical freak with a tremendous engine. Seems to play every game.
