According to RS this morning, It will either be Paige, who is favorite or a mystery candidate, who will be interviewed on Monday. Paige was interviewed again in Spain yesterday. Southgate withdrew due to the finances, and Morgan is wanted for the development squad.

I think it was quite obvious from RS that they were guessing. They used the word 'believed ' so many times. How would they know Page impressed at the second interview when only those who interviewed him know

They might have been, there again they might not have been.... fairly sure that they would not have broadcast it, unless there was something in it, and to be fair to them even though I do not like there sports presenters, when they say it on the air, they are usually right.

They are a week behind the news, He was interviewed early last week before anyone else. Paul Walker dismissed Page yesterday morning on twitter then suddenly his sources tell him. what a cock

Absolutely right. They are a bunch of complete wankers. Walker, in particular is a legend in his own imagination; by far the most promising young commentator in his postcode.

United have, rightly, kept this process under wraps. The local hacks don't like that so they dress up old news as exclusives.

I believe that they've probably read the thread on BladesMad where a fan recounts a conversation with McCabe.

I believe that in the absence of anything else they've decided it was worth taking a punt on the post being genuine (as it appears to be on the face of things).
 
The only thing they have got right that I know of is the mystery candidate No. 8

Whether that is due to happen on Monday, has already happened or will happen at the weekend I've no idea. I also don't have a Scooby who it is, other than making the supposition that it is somebody that has become available since they began the process.

I suspect they have kept it "under wraps" from themselves as opposed to from the press, by the way things appear to be going.

Three turned it down already (regardless of whether they were actually offered or not - three have turned it down)
due to the shite state the club is in. Only the lonely and the desperate to come.

Talk about wilderness years - we will need a fucking time machine to see the next potential event horizon

It was reported on Bladesmad by a mate of mine after an old mate of his came back from the US to renew his Visa and this is how I knew last week and reported Hodges/Page partnership was a real possibility. McCabe told him directly over coffee that up to that day Thursday Page was the most impressive candidate, however Dave Bassett who was doing all interviews preferred Jackett(now at Wolves). However McCabe admitted he had no idea who he was going to pick and seemed totally unsure.

The way that Walker spoke to McCabe at the Morgan press conference would have ended any information stream that Walker had with the club.
RS have shown their priorities lie with wendy so why would the club share anything with them or the stir.

I couldn't disagree more. For once, RS and Walker, showed some bloody bottle and asked uncomfortable questions that needed asking. This doesn't show piggy bias, but reflects the views they must get from Blades fans every day.
If the asking of these question has resulted in us (by implication McCabe) removing a line of communication with them it says far worse things about our chairman than it does about the radio station. Why should he continue to get an easy ride at this sort of event? It's what makes them not worth turning up to.

For what it's worth, in this case, I think the club should keep its cards close to its chest when going through the current process.

Completely agree and I've been banging on about this for ages - the easy ride those in charge at our club get compared to how other clubs fans would behave.

In 7 years we've gone from been Yorkshire top dog to a basket case of a club.

And no i dont feel sorry for Morgan Ken. Im sure he will get a job either in League 2 or the Confrence.
