Craig Beattie, who while he had movement to create a chance was one of the worst finishers I've seen.

David Johnson, who I was really looking forward to seeing play but seemed a shadow of his previous self in his brief loan spell.

Barry Hayles, who while his career before and after showed he was decent, was just appalling in the small number of games he played.

Andy Campbell, whose pace meant he could get opportunities but he was all pace and nothing else – awful finisher.

Marcus Bent v2 probably tops the lot, on the basis that his outright shitness probably had the most damaging effect compared to the rest mentioned above.

Craig Beattie hardly ever played the lone striker role he got stuck with. Not his game. Poor signing.

Apologies Weasel . Didn't read your post . Yes Paul Williams absolute carbage . Made some money at WBA.

Cannot think as anyone as bad in a red and white shirt . Made Sammon look class .
 
Shaun miller deserves a mention although i suppose he was bought on potential, turned out he had none. For me higdon and sammon were both equally shite.

I cannot believe you have such an opinion of Shaun,surely the late goal at Fulham and the late goal v Port Vale are enough to keep him from your scorn?
 

Connor Sammon has got to be right up there.

Barry Hayles, Ian Rush, Peter Withe, John Cofie, Luton Shelton, Chris Porter......

That was in the play off semi final against Bristol City. I can't remember anyone laughing. In fact it actually relegated us and I've actually never seen as much anger towards a Miss in my life. Actually rivalling the Kosluk cross V Port Vale (think it was port vale?)

Far rom one of the worst we've had, but definitely near the top of the "overrated by our own fans" league.

Fulham goal was the only thing he ever did for us. He was naff

Given that he got 8 in 19 appearances before getting injured for us - I dunno where your stats are coming from.

I think he was a good player for us pre injury and suited the way we played. Just wasn't the same player afterwards.

Now Onoura, Hayles and Sammon were unmitigated shite with no redeeming features
 
The one that really sticks out is Craig Beattie.

When you judge this award on money paid, level played in, goal ratio and overall contribution, Connor Sammon is the winner by mile.

I don't think I have ever witnessed a more nesh & ineffective striker.

Lyle Taylor probably in there too.

Anyone who mentioned Chief - Shame on you. Anyone who scores against the pigs automatically doesn't get described in the "worst of" category.
