Our two main problems

I’d give Bogle a run I’m MF, Furious George to RB and bench Berge
Genuine question - Why would you give Bogle a run in midfield when the biggest issue we have in midfield is the lack of guile and physicality?

Bringing him into a new position when all he really knows is attacking down the wings would be a huge risk when we just need to get over the line in 2nd

The thing about Bogle is he’s getting forward far less than he was. We must need to keep a line of four around halfway with Norwood stood next to Egan, so he can keep those passing stats up. An analysis of how many actuall go forward would be good info.

Stop picking players who are out of form.

Bogle needs replacing with Baldock
Fleck for McAtee
Doyle for Norwood
RND for Lowe, or even stick Brooks in

I’d look to rest Ndiaye soon for a match for Jebbo. Jebbo should be coming off the bench instead of Sharp, who isn’t having an impact at all IMHO. Coulibaly should be in and around the first XI as well.

We’ve got more than enough to get the job done and get automatics, but we seem absolutely wedded to playing players week in, week out who are bang out of form and / or need a rest. You can carry one or two, but four players is almost half of the outfield 11.
RND is injured.

The key issues for me at the moment are:

lack of competition

Partly because of injuries, partly money and partly because Hecky makes bizarre subs and won’t drop some players, there’s no threat of being on the bench for too many people. Footballers play better when someone is desperate for the shirt. Berge has been drifting for weeks (though was slightly better yesterday), Bogle is the same, Lowe is too cautious, Ndiaye and McBurnie also seem to be lacking confidence.

They need someone on the bench and they need to know if they’re not doing it, they’re gettting hooked then dropped next week.

Not getting the ball to our best players enough

Ndiaye doesn’t get the ball enough. He has to win it himself a lot of the time. Yesterday was mind boggling - lump it to McBurnie for a knock down. We need to figure out a way of playing that gets Ndiaye, Berge, Bogle and Norwood on the ball in dangerous areas and it’s been obvious for ages. Same when Brewster played - he barely ever got passed to.
Nope. Our 2 main problems are Fleck & Berge getting picked whenever they are fit.
If i’m allowed to add a third problem then i’ll throw the stupid cunt who keeps picking them into the mix.

I bench berge was just to slow yesterday don’t where he was tired or just couldn’t be bothered. Another thing instead of players trying to walk the ball in have a crack a goal if it misses 1 might go in out of 10

Fans , players and manager all seem to be performing like we are playing in mid table nothingness. No usual buzz we have for a team challenging for automatics. It’s all a bit strange how flat it’s been for months.
Been flat for months cos the vast majority saw this coming apart from the clappiest of clappers. I think deep down most knew our performances were worrying, even when winning we’ve rarely looked assured and most knew eventually our luck was going to run out.

We have the best squad in the division, plus a few duffers, but our problem's picking the best eleven and setting them up right. Billy, sadly, shouldn't be coming on in front of the likes of Jebbison, must kill the younger players confidence knowing someone the age of their dad is in front in the pecking order. Lowe's playing at the top of his game, the problem is his game's shit. Fleck shouldn't be walking straight back into the starting line up. Osborn will be straight back in when he's fit again. Bogle needs coaching, a lot, and until he improves, should be Baldock all the way and on it goes.

We're 36 games in and yes we've had injuries, but so have other clubs, 36 games in and Hecky doesn't know his best starting line up. As a player you like consistency, seeing your name on the team sheet and fighting to make it so you're in the team every week. Ok, not always As our Premier League midfielder doesn't seem to care but he's one of the managers favourites so he's safe. Doyle on the other hand, had a fucking stormer in the Cup game now and has to sit watching that lanky twat go through the motions every game while he's sat on the bench. McAtee needed coaching and games, 20 minutes here and there doesn't do him any good and now you have an in and out player expecting to be hooked every time the board goes up, assuming he started the game.

It's not about players this, it's about organisation, setting the team up right and letting them play, sadly I'm not sure our manager gets it.
Burnley are on course for 105+ points. We don't have the best squad in the division

We are pretty much shit between the ears. We just kept doing the same brainless things. When you’re not clever enough…You’re not good enough.

There are three problems not two.

If you want to turn defence into attack quickly then dont pick these three to play together, because they are too slow of thought.constantly choosing a sideways or backwards pass instead of searching out a forward incisive pass.

Fleck Berge Norwood
all 3 should be dropped for the stadium of light but ive got a feeling hes gonna play all 3 again up there think they think their playing in a walking football team

No

Those same players are currently shell shocked from 4 recent defeats. We’re frightened to attack like we were doing before Boro equalised at the lane.

So we half heartedly attack teams leaving our players in no man’s land as they tentatively try to attack teams but still leave ourselves exposed enough at the back for teams to cause us problems

We have a good quality attack when we play positively without fear.
Our defence is usually excellent but quite slow and really vulnerable to quick counter attacks.

Agree....recently our attacks are now half hearted....we've lost our confidence and don't tend to commit numbers forward
because we're fearful of getting caught on the break. It's as though we worry about the opposition instead of playing our game and letting them worry about us.
Ahmedhodzic was playing with freedom before Xmas always getting forward. Recently he tends to stay back in defence.

We need a leader and motivator to give our players some positivity and confidence. That is Hecky's responsibility.

Current crop are too complacent, got away with it but now being found out. Either step it up or fuck off. Apart from Iliman, McBurnie and Baldock. The rest are getting too fucking confident for their own good, now Burnley have pulled away, their drive has gone. Hecky doesn’t have the tactical know how to Plan B in games, fuck all discipline and overall tactics. Wilder up till the end made us so well drilled, we played like a fucking Pep or Klopp side, everyone knew their role and we out played most teams.

Fucking criminal it’s got like this with Norwood, Fleck, Stevens and Sharp etc. Promotion winning players. Shows how weak Hecky is.

It shouldn’t be like this, but it is.

Team against Spurs, better than the fucking Dad’s army were putting out at the moment.
I don’t know when you consider Wilder to have been at “the end” but I well remember fucking Lundstram being picked every game despite him not giving a toss, Stevens when he contributed nothing and Fleck….well, being Fleck, a shadow of his former self …….

They weren't that great when we gubbed the fuckers earlier in the season.
Very true.

Up until recently I'd say there were two underlying differences but you have to acknowledge a third:

1. They didn't have 13 players out injured for a period which contributed heavily to our 6 games without a win. Turn the tables I'm sure they would have got closer to our 3 points than the 12 they took.
2. They properly approached the transfer window like a team that wanted to ensure they got over the line. Their latest goal created by one new signing and scored by the other is a great example. A lad on Twitter posted that no team that failed to add in January has ever gone up.
3. You have to add in team management. Games against 4 play off teams, two home and two away and we've lost the lot. Our surprising inability to come from behind when we conceded first. The now over-reliance to select based on fitness stats at the expense of acknowledging form.

Yeh accept it’s a risk but he does come inside with his runs and he presses defenders much more than Berge. If he attacks the right side of MF like Ndiaye does the left we could get the ball forward much quicker.
As Carl Asaba points out playing from the back with Lowe and Bogle sitting so deep it takes us 12 passes to get upfield giving any side ample time to mark up every United player.
The bigger risk is doing the same again and hoping it works next time (Einstein's explanation of insanity). Berge, whatever his role is cause I can’t see it just lays the ball to the simplest pass (usually sideways or backwards). Occasionally he does something special which frustrates the fans even more when he doesn’t even try. Berge’s version of dominating MF (which he should be doing) is sprinting 30/40 yards to a defender then pulling up 2 yards from his man and pointing his feckin toe in the direction of the ball. The likes of Monty dint pull up until he was 2 yards past the man / ball.

Fleck Berge Norwood
We know Fleck and Norwood can't run fact!
It's Berge that gets me 24 and doasnt raise a gallop very often even though he has it in his locker.
When the prince changed his mind, and decided to keep Berge and Ndiah Berge said ! Whether this comes from him or a local reporter I don't know!.
:"I will play out my contract ""
He's done nothing of note since then and is a total passenger, prince must regret not letting him go.
Drop him ! would make a statement would Hecki do it ?

In one word.. Desire..

But why would you run your blood to piss, and put your body on the line, risking your future employment for a club that doesn't give a fuck if you're a united player or not after May..

Note: professional footballers coming out of contract don't put 100% in, and that means they don't win many games, see John lundstram for an example.

And its funny as soon as the embargo kicked in, we started losing..

Think about it..
Yes great timing from the chairman

The biggest issue for me is that we’re playing players when they’re out of form and there is an alternative available

These would be the starters

Bogle for Baldock
Doyle for Fleck
McAtee for Berge

Lowe is the only one that doesn’t have a replacement at the moment

Ndiaye probably needs a rest
I'd also add tired to that too.

We've known for two full seasons now that Norwood can't play twice a week. On our strong run in last season Hecky rotated him with Hourihane - why he's not had Doyle and Norwood rotating is beyond me. Same with Baldock/Bogle. WB is the most physically demanding position in our system yet we're rolling out the same two players every game...

I'd also suggest Anel's performance at Centre CB v Spurs would also see me resting Egan from the twice-a-weeks.

As much as I like Hecky, his team selections and lack of rotations are completely mind bending. Like I say last season he seemed to over-rotate whereas this run in he's under-rotating...

So it’s the players then?

I still don't believe we received any real bids for him

100% correct
