In fact we have only beaten Middlesborough and derby who are currently in the top half. I have to ask why and question our tactics in these games. I could starting ranting about blackwell now but there is no point, results speak for themselves.

You've also missed out Leicester from your summary, with another loss and draw. 3 points from 9 games against the top 6

I'm not sure I would prefer to have it vice versa: majority of wins over the top 6 teams and 3 points out of 9 games against bottom six of the table.

If we would be losing to statistically weaker teams, I'd doubt our tactical abilities more than I do currently.

Us losing to statistically better teams than we are, kind of explains our current table position and shows where we can/should improve.
