Yorkshire Post said:SHEFFIELD UNITED'S relegation from the Premiership will cost Yorkshire rivals Leeds United around £475,000.
Relegation will cost the Blades tens of millions of pounds in lost revenue even though they will receive a parachute payment of £11m for the next two seasons.
The consequences will also be keenly felt up the M1 at Elland Road due to clauses that were included in the deals that took Rob Hulse and Matthew Kilgallon to Bramall Lane.
In the deal that took Hulse to South Yorkshire last summer, the Blades are understood to have paid an initial fee of £2.2m that could have risen to £3m if Neil Warnock's side had stayed in the Premiership and the striker had reached a certain target of goals.
