According to a writer in today's Guardian it's time for the PL clubs to stop their fixation with foreign managers (such as

Solskjaer, Poyet, Magath and Pepe Mel) and to turn to "good young English managers such as Sean Dyche and Nigel

Clough".

this is bad yes??

Unless its a big club, and really stupid money I get the feeling Nigel will stick around and see how far he can take us, probably a long term project to prove derby were wrong to ditch him.
His father was very straight forward as proven when he went to the dirties, didn't like it so quit, I see Nigel in a similar mold.

unless it was forest who come knocking,i dont think Nige would leave for any club at the minute.
He`s in this for the haul,he wants to see us suceed by doing it all his own way.
Theres to much Cloughlove# for him to leave!!!

His options are a long term project building to success over several years with backing and understanding or going to a PL team where managers are under threat withing weeks if success is not instant e.g.s DeCanio at Sunderland, Felix wassitsname at Fulham, Ole Gunner Dodar at Cardiff is already under pressure.

As long as we pay him well and keep the people he wanted he will stay, why?

Cause our Nigel is a Blade.

And Brayford as club captain (nowt personnel Doyle)

Aye, it's a strange one. As much as I'm LOVING the Clough era and Cup heroics, part of me can't help but think - 'Jesus, stop being that good' - when 'Arry goes on one of his wonderful runs/single handledly prevents stops the ball on the line simply by glaring at it disapprovingly.

I think it's natural (albeit slightly cynical) to worry about losing assets when your club are doing so well.

Nige seems a bloke who likes to finish a job, though. Hopefully we'll be well cemented in the Championship before anyone other club comes-a-knocking. UTB
