Osula

We need a seasoned campaigner to help get us over the line, but it doesn't sound likely to happen whilst this takeover is going through.

I think this is pretty much spot on 100% definitely affirmative positively yes I agree what we want.

Hecky said in todays press conference that if Osula plays for us during the JT window, he “can’t go back out [on loan]”. I never knew about that rule.

I'd keep him at the club for the rest of the season he's raw but there's a good player in him ,cover all bases

I suspect DCL's dress sense didn't work in his favour here!

Can’t play for more than two clubs in a season cappy it’s a relatively new rule. It’s why all these players Cooper is hoping to offload from Forest this January will in the main have to go back to the clubs they bought them from.

Like Bowler.

It would be a bit of a pisser if, having lost Joao Pedro for 6-8 weeks Emmanuel Dennis rocks back up there in the meantime because Forest need to make space in their squad.

Talk about having your cake and eat it if you’re Watford!

I liked the look of Osula pre season, more so than Jebbo to be honest.

The lad has scored a few competitive goals now, and we are reliably informed by the Pigs that League 1 is oh so tough, where as the Champ is a cake walk, so on that basis alone he should get a hat full before the end of the season.

In all seriousness, we may get a pleasant surprise here. If McB is out for a bit, then could there be a better chance for a young striker to make his mark? He has the master in Sharp alongside him in training, and will get plenty of opportunities.

He needs time in training, and he needs to start a match and finish it. Apart from that and his red card, he is the perfect fit after the next 3 games.
I can just imagine the Chairman after reading Hecky’s wish list. “We are a development club”, do the best you can with what you’ve got!

At present here are the front threes, not preference but just to show likely options:

1. Berge-McBurnie-Ndiaye ❌
2. Berge-Brewster-Ndiaye ❌
3. Berge-Sharp-Ndiaye ✅
4. Berge-Ndiaye-McAtee ✅
5. McAtee-Sharp-Ndiaye ✅
6. Berge-Sharp-McAtee ✅
7. Berge-Jebbison-Ndiaye ✅
8. McAtee-Jebbison-Ndiaye ✅
9.Berge-Sharp-Jebbison ✅
10. McAtee-Sharp-Jebbison ✅
11. Berge-Jebbison-McAtee ✅
Etc

There are a fair few permutations before you even get to Khadra or Osula, even with McBurnie and Brewster out of the equation and without playing the likes of Osborn or Doyle further forward.

I think this is where us being a club that develops players rather than us being a club that has cash sloshing around comes to the fore.

With Brewster and McBurnie out, if this isn’t the time to develop Jebbo, then when is?

In all competitions, Khadra has played 455 minutes across 16 matches and 74 of those were in the League Cup. In the league, it’s a shade over 4 full matches out of 26 matches played, which equates to 15% of our game time.

His omission isn’t going to be noticed. Appreciate his goal at Swansea but most of his recent introductions he’s actually been a liability.

Time to crack on and manage with Sharp and Jebbo. I’d rather look at midfield if any money comes free. We’ve got Norwood plus nothing but injury prone options in Berge, Doyle, Coulibaly, Fleck, Osborn.

I’d say it’s there where we have most discomfort and why I think Rothwell would be a better addition than any striker.
