Osula

That's not necessarily a bad thing. There are far worse role models for Lankshear, Osula and Jebbison to learn from than Billy Sharp, a man who has honed his craft over nearly 20 years, getting everything out of his strengths and adapting his game as he ages.
Yep I’d agree I’d imagine he has more tricks of the trade to pass on than a striker who relied on being bigger or faster than their opponents to create their opportunities. He’s also kept himself in great shape late into his career which has benefited him massively which is an important lesson to pass on.

Everyone has a right to an opinion, maybe you will be right, Have you worked with Jebbison ? If not then your opinion is no more informed than mine.
He has a long way to go ! The right attitude is key to his progress as he has all the physical attributes necessary .
Reminds me very much of Brian Deane who was very raw as a 20 year old when we sided him,he had been around professional footballers at Doncaster for a number of years(Jebbo hasn't so he is very nieve )..
Very disappointing to right an 18 year old kid off showing good signs! The next few years will tell!!
8 goals in 22 at a mid-table League 1 side tells you exactly where Jebbison is in his development. He was recalled as back up in case we had a few injuries. He isn't yet ready to lead an attack in a top 10 champonship side.

As you say, his success as a footballer will be down to his attitude over the next few years. How much is he prepared to listen and how hard is he prepared to work.

Apparently derby were missing another striker so this was his chance to get a run further than cameos and this happened.

Hopefully he's making his silly mistakes for someone else and returns a wiser player

So contrary to my opinion on other threads that suggests we won't bring another forward in when Khadra goes

Is he not cup tied?

Well, if he's cup tied and we've decided to recall him before a cup game where he would have served one of his games, only for him to miss at minimum the next 4 for us, then we are idiots.

I would assume we'd have recalled him after the cup match if the above wasn't true?

Not sure where this'hoping for a midfielder' is coming from?

With Norwood, Berge, Doyle, McAtee, Osbourn, Fleck (when fit) plus Arblaster and Couilibally knocking around to cover 3 places I'd be amazed if a midfielder is on any kind of incoming list

I'm not sure I think he played in cup, does seem very silly on our part. Could of recalled him later in month and got some of his wages paid as well.
