In fairness, I've had this same thought and he did bid for Swift which suggests a midfielder could be still on his radar.

Wilder didnt say it would be striker.

He did say we would bring a striker in and say 5 players would be here, however he's said similar things in previous seasons and always pushed the board for more.

I reckon we'll bring in a striker and one more player. Just a hunch.

Maybe we will? Maybe we'd push Buendia back to RCM and not play him as a 10? Maybe I'm wrong... hence why it was left-field suggestion.

He easily could play RCM. His workrate is exceptional, he's like right sided Fleck. He's quite tenacious and gets stuck in. Has a lot of end product at the other end of the pitch. Surprised nobody else has moved for him yet. Be a minimum £20m outlay though and I'm not sure we have that (unless our striker is a loan).
 
It's a loan signing and given the talk about Brewster and not wanting him to go out before the start of the season he seems the likely player.

I didn't realise until the other day that Buendia was only 23 years old. And given his work ethic, I think he'd be the perfect signing. However - given that he has never been linked and only ever discussed on this forum I just can't see it.
 

"Lined up" up doesnt sound like Brewster if its true that 47 teams are in for him.
